From the Valencian anonymous life of St. Onophrius at the beginning of the sixteenth century to the recreation of Onofre Salt (Barcelona, 1620)

La devoció en terres de parla catalana a l'anacoreta sant Onofre es troba bastant difosa i compta amb nombrosos testimonis. Entre els literaris, en destaquen dos. Un, en català, publicat a principis del segle XVI, a València —anònim i amb clares evidències de ser un treball que recull textos elaborats en estadis anteriors—, i l'altre publicat a Barcelona —malgrat que obra del valencià Onofre Salt—, del 1620, i en castellà. Ens proposem veure les diferències entre l'un i l'altre i, encara, els punts en comú de dos textos devocionals hagiogràfics que es troben als extrems de la cruïlla de l'edat moderna: de l'edat mitjana al Renaixement, el primer, i ja al barroc, el segon.

Pilsētu sarukšana un stratēģiskie risinājumi ir plaši izpētīti lielajās pilsētās, bet ir ļoti maz pētījumu, kā šis process izpaužas un ietekmē mazās pilsētas (ar iedzīvotāju skaitu līdz 25 000), kurām pieder arī Kuldīga. Kopš 1999.gada iedzīvotāju skaits Kuldīgā ir samazinājies par 18,6% jeb 2449 iedzīvotājiem. Līdz ar to par darba mērķi tika izvirzīts izstrādāt priekšlikumus Kuldīgas pilsētai, balstoties uz līdzšinējiem sociālekonomiskajiem procesiem un labās prakses piemēriem Eiropā un citviet pasaulē. Explaining two forms of Internet crime from two perspectives : toward stage theories for phishing and Internet scamming

The two studies in this dissertation examine two pervasive and common forms of Internet crimes from two different perspectives: (1) phishing from the victims’ perspective and (2) Internet scamming from the offenders’ perspective. For the former, previous phishing research is based on models that assume that fixed or static factors explain or predict people’s reasons for complying with phishing emails. These models assume that the reasons for complying with phishing emails are the same across individuals and across time. However, we argue that, whereas the act of clicking on a phishing email is the same across time for phishing victims, the reasons for complying are not the same. We address …
Effect of different packaging methods on the free amino acid profiles of the deep-water rose shrimp (Parapenaeus longirostris) during frozen storage

The composition of free amino acids (FAAs) in seafood products contributes to characterizing their flavor, as well as freshness and quality during storage. Deep-water rose shrimps (Parapenaues longirostris, Lucas, 1846) (DWRS) are being increasingly harvested in the Mediterranean Sea, and the captured specimens are quickly frozen onboard fishing trawlers to preserve freshness and post-harvest quality. Here, we quantified the FAA profiles of DWRS packaged using five methods: (1) 100% N2; (2) vacuum; (3) 50% N2 + 50% CO2; (4) commercial anhydrous sodium sulfite; and (5) air (control). Z bogatego zakresu problematyki teologicznej nowej liturgii obrzędów sakramentu namaszczenia chorych, zwłaszcza zawartej we wprowadzeniu teologiczno-pastoralnym, w czytaniach biblijnych i tekstach euchologijnych, autor szerzej omawia jedynie zagadnienia podstawowe. Genetic variability of the blue and red shrimp Aristeus antennatus in the Western Mediterranean Sea inferred by DNA microsatellite loci

Genetic variation at eight microsatellite loci was studied in nine populations of the blue and red shrimp Aristeus antennatus to investigate whether distinct stocks are present in the Western Mediterranean Sea. A high level of gene flow and no evidence of genetic partitioning were discovered. No significant variation was found (FST = 0.00673, P-value = 0.067) even when shrimps from exploited and those from deep-water unexploited grounds were compared. No evidence of reduction or expansion of population size in the recent past was found, as indicated by the bottleneck and interlocus g-tests. New Gynandromorph Records for Chirocephalus diaphanus (Branchiopoda, Anostraca, Chirocephalidae)

We report and describe new Chirocephalus diaphanus Prévost, 1803 gynandromorphs from Tunisia and review the literature of anostracan gynandromorphy and other, possibly associated, somatic aberrations, with comments on their evolutionary significance. Our material has three specimens that are specifically deformed on the left side of the head.
