A privacy enhanced device access protocol for an IoT context

In this paper, we present the case for a device authentication protocol that authenticates a device/service class rather than an individual device. The devices in question are providing services available to the public. The proposed protocol is an online protocol, and it uses a pseudo-random temporary identity scheme to provide user privacy. This allows the Internet-of-Things device to have full assurance of the user, with respect to the request service, while permitting the user to remain anonymous with respect to the device. The user can then enjoy identity and location privacy in addition to untraceability with respect to device access. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Structures subjected to variable repeated loads can undergo the shakedown or adaptation phenomenon,-which prevents them from collapse but may cause lack of serviceability, for the plastic deformations developed, although finite, as shakedown occurrence postulates, may exceed some maximum values imposed by external ductility criteria. This paper is devoted to the optimal design of reinforced concrete structures, subjected to variable and repeated loads. L'articolo si occupa del concorso "per la canzone siciliana" bandito nel 1891 a Palermo da Tina Withaker Scalia con la collaborazione di Giorgio Miclei. Nella prima parte viene presentato un sintetico bilancio dei precedenti non siciliani del concorso nell'Italia post-unitaria, e nella seconda vengono analizzate in dettaglio le due canzoni vincitrici.

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa Jyväskylän yliopiston Aikuiskouluttajan pedagogisista opinnoista (APO) valmistuneiden työhönsijoittumista. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin opintoihin hakeutumiseen vaikuttaneita tekijöitä sekä opintojen merkitystä valmistuneiden työllistymiseen. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa selvitettiin millaisiin asiantuntijatehtäviin opinnoista valmistuneet ovat opintojen jälkeen työllistyneet. Tutkimusaineisto muodostui vuosina 2005-2013 APO-opinnoista valmistuneiden kasvatustieteen ja aikuiskasvatustieteen opiskelijoiden vastauksista (N = 63). Dynamic shakedown of structures under repeated seismic loads

Elastic, perfectly plastic structures are considered under the action of repeated short-duration exitations of seismic type acting in an unknown time sequence, but belonging to a given polyhedral excitation domain. We introduce and discuss different approaches to construct order parameters for Kohonen’s Self-Organizing Maps. As one approach the notion of an order parameter in the sense of Haken’s synergetics is studied and contrasted with organization measures using SOM structure information.
