Unexpected associated microalgal diversity in the lichen Ramalina farinacea is uncovered by pyrosequencing analyses

The current literature reveals that the intrathalline coexistence of multiple microalgal taxa in lichens is more common than previously thought, and additional complexity is supported by the coexistence of bacteria and basidiomycete yeasts in lichen thalli. This replaces the old paradigm that lichen symbiosis occurs between a fungus and a single photobiont. The lichen Ramalina farinacea has proven to be a suitable model to study the multiplicity of microalgae in lichen thalli due to the constant coexistence of Trebouxia sp. The phenomenon of movement awareness requires more attention to make it explicit in physiotherapy. The aim of this study was to explore the variation in physiotherapists’ conceptions of movement quality, focusing on movement awareness. The informants were 15 physiotherapists from a variety of physiotherapy fields. We collected data through two group interviews and used the phenomenographic method to analyze them. Drawing conclusions about what co-participants know: Knowledge-probing question–answer sequences in new employee orientation lectures

This study aims to uncover the processes of interaction through which knowledge acquisition in new employee orientation is monitored and controlled. Using video-recordings of orientation lectures as data, the study focuses on question–answer sequences in which the lecturer’s question probes into the state of the employees’ knowledge; in particular, it looks at the third turn of the sequence, in which the lecturer comes to a conclusion concerning the participants’ knowledge. Tutkimukseni aiheena on selvittää kuntaliitoskeskusteluun kuuluvien käsitteiden vaikutusta kuntaliitosten toteuttamiseen ja kuinka käsitteet ovat vaikuttaneet poliittiseen diskurssiin ja toimintaan kuntaliitoksissa viimeisen noin 40 vuoden aikana virallisten tahojen ja tekstien kautta. Tutkimuksessa kuntaliitoskeskustelua tarkastellaan 1960-luvulta 2000-luvulle. Varsinainen analyysi jakautuu kolmeen päälukuun. Ensimmäinen käsittää ajanjakson 1960- ja 1970-luvut, toinen 1980-luvun ja osan 1990-luvusta. Pro gradu –tutkielma käsittelee 1990-luvun liikkeenjohtoajattelua ja foucault’laista valtakäsitystä sekä hallinnoimisen teemaa. Tutkielman aineisto koostuu Yritystalouslehden artikkeleista vuosilta 1990–1999. Lopulliseen aineistoanalyysiin on valikoitunut 20 henkilöstöjohtamisen aluetta käsittelevää artikkelia. Tutkimus on tekstianalyysia. Tarkastelun kohteena on se, mistä tutkimusaineistossa puhutaan ja minkälaiseksi liikkeenjohtamisen tehtävät ja kohteet aineistossa käsitetään. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin Rantasalmen puhallinorkesterin toimintaa sen 30‐vuotisen historian ajalta. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten puhallinorkesteri on kehittynyt ja millaista sen toiminta on ollut vuosien saatossa. Olennaisessa osassa tutkimusta olivat yksilöiden tuntemat kokemukset ja niiden kautta syntyneet merkitykset koskien ympäröivää yhteisöä. Teoria- ja taustaosuudessa tavoiteltiin aikaisempien tutkimusten ja kirjallisuuden pohjalta tietoa kulttuurin ja yhteisön määrittelystä, soittamisesta harrastuksena sekä hankittiin lisätietoa kansalaisopistoista taiteenperusopetuksen organisaationa.
