Despite the fear of the entertainment industry that illegal downloads of films might ruin their business, going to the movies continues to be a popular leisure activity. One reason why people prefer to watch movies in cinemas may be the surround of the movie screen or its physically huge size. To disentangle the factors that might contribute to the size impression, we tested several measures of subjective size and immersion in different viewing environments. A common belief is that a flame-retardant clothing ensemble will increase the level of heat stress over ordinary cotton work clothes. This is supported by bench tests on fabrics that indicate higher insulation and vapor resistance values for flame-retardant clothing. This research compared a flame-retardant clothing ensemble for an aluminum smelter (Zirpo wool shirt and FR8 denim pants) with typical cotton work clothing. The T cell response to bacterial antigens plays a major role in the pathogenesis of reactive arthritis (ReA) following enteric infections with Yersinia enterocolitica. To study the antigen specificity of the T cells at the site of inflammation, the response of cloned T cells from the synovial fluid of 2 patients with ReA to partially purified antigens of Yersinia enterocolitica was determined. Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4alpha (HNF4alpha) plays critical roles during liver development and in the transcriptional regulation of many hepatic genes in adult liver. Here we have demonstrated that in human hepatoma HepG2 cells, HNF4alpha is expressed at levels as high as in human liver but its activity on target genes is very low or absent. We have discovered that the low expression of key coactivators (PGC1alpha, SRC1, SRC2, and PCAF) might account for the lack of function of HNF4alpha in HepG2 cells. Persistence of Nonceliac Wheat Sensitivity, Based on Long-term Follow-up

We investigated how many patients with a diagnosis of nonceliac wheat sensitivity (NCWS) still experienced wheat sensitivity after a median follow-up time of 99 months. We collected data from 200 participants from a previous study of NCWS, performed between July and December 2016 in Italy; 148 of these individuals were still on a strict wheat- free diet. In total, 175 patients (88%) improved (had fewer symptoms) after a diagnosis of NCWS; 145 of 148 patients who adhered strictly to a gluten-free diet (98%) had reduced symptoms, compared with 30 of 52 patients who did not adhere to a gluten-free diet (58%) (P < .0001). We report two cases of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) in an uncommon location (heart and retropharynx) both with divergent osseous heterologous differentiation. We present the pathological and immunohistochemical studies that confirmed the neurogenic origin. The histopathology of the tumor arising in the retropharynx showed a transition from a neurofibroma to MPNST, making this a new report of an MPNST arising from a plexiform neurofibroma without neurofibromatosis. Primary cardiac MPNST with osseous differentiation has never been reported before.
