Rola Tradycji w Kościele. Między „archeologizmem” a „entuzjazmem”
2018
The article is an attempt to answer the question about the relation between tradition and the development of theological cognition. The church from the first centuries was aware that allegiance to the council tenets exceeds a technical repetition of council`s formulas. It is clear that a belief in dogma assumes openness to both the past and the future. In the article two approaches to tradition are criticized: archeological and enthusiastic. The first one is linked with attempt to end the possibility of adding to a developing tradition further at any point in history; the second one is a result of conviction that currents form of doctrine and church are exactly what is wanted by God. In ref…

Spirituality and Sustainability of Interreligious/Interdenominational Dialogue in Theological Study Programs
2019
Abstract This article is part of broader research on “The Interrelationship of Theology and Praxis in the Context of Sustainable Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue”1 in which we explore two essential concepts: sustainability and interreligious dialogue. We have narrowed this broader topic to study how facilitation of students’ spirituality in theology study programmes develops an environment for sustainability of interdenominational/interreligious dialogue. We provide a theoretical glimpse into research from theology, pedagogy, and spirituality. Our future research process will be based on our findings. One of the current challenges is globalization, which coincides with diversificat…
Posibilidad de un individualismo holista. Consideraciones hermenéuticas sobre el individualismo moderno desde la filosofía de Charles Taylor
2010
The aim of this essay is to argue against the atomistic conception of man that underlies much of modern philosophy and to support, in contrast, a hermeneutical approach that makes possible to defend a holistic individualism. For this, starting from the distinction of Charles Taylor between «ontological issues» and «advocacy issues», I am going to focus on the presuppositions of individualism. What does holistic individualism mean? Thus, I try to clarify whether it is possible to defend such holistic individualism, and what advantages in terms of irreducible social goods and significative freedom brings for the articulation and development of the individual and modern society.<br><b…
An Interview with Zygmunt Bauman: How to Turn the Word into Flesh
2017
Deceased in January this year, the Polish-British sociologist Zygmunt Bauman has left an extremely rich scholarly legacy. In one of his last academic interviews, he refers to the key issues which had been the subject of his in-depth analysis for many years. Bauman starts with reflections on the gap between political authority and power. Next, given his long-standing research into ‘liquid modernity’, he focuses on the vitality of capitalism, which has now adopted a lighter, consumer form. Another thread of the interview is Bauman’s own research attitude, which he refers to as ‘sociological hermeneutics’. It is characterized by his reluctance to use any ‘-isms’ and a profound mistrust of all…
Learning to learn in universities 4.0. Human Obsolescence and short-term change
2020
The 4th Industrial Revolution has modified the model of society worldwide. Short-term change has taken hold of everyday life, and people who do not cope with it become obsolete. Under this scenario, the life and work of the university graduates became fickle since their near future grows in uncertainty. Thus, we aimed to shed light on human optimization pathways from Higher Education in the knowledge-based society and economy, which made possible a new industry. In this line, we conducted an analysis underpinned by critical hermeneutics from educational policy proposals, research findings, and analytical philosophy. After analyzing the context, the person, and the learning needs, we offered…
Julkista lastensuojelun perhetyötä yksityiskodissa
2019
The purpose of this doctoral dissertation in social work is to illustrate the open care child welfare support that is conducted in private homes. Family work in this study is seen as essentially morally charged work, because the study’s theoretical background approach-es social work from a perspective of reflective, relation-based theory. The object of the study is parents’ and family workers’ experiences of family work, especially within a private home setting. The research data were collected from eight family workers and eight parents from six different families. These individual interviews were conducted as thematic interviews in 2014 and 2015. The data were analysed using thematic cont…
Czuła krytyka - czuła metafizyka Adriana Glenia
2021
The sketch is an attempt to grasp the interpretation of the critical discourse of Adrian Gleń - the poet of “Topos”, professor at the Institute of Literary Studies at the University of Opole, author of numerous interpretations and critical discussions of recent poetry. The critic has articulated it both in Istnienie i literaturze [Existence and Literature] (Sopot 2010), Czułości [Tenderness] (Sopot 2014), and especially in his latest volume of essays on contemporary literary criticism, Krytyka i metafizyka [Criticism and Metaphysics] (Sopot 2017). In the latter, the author clearly crystallises his aim - to indicate the place of criticism in contemporary culture, the reasons for the decline …
