A New Perspective on the Relationship between Trading Variables and Volatility in Futures Markets

In this paper, we study the relationship between trading-related variables and volatility in futures markets, from a new unifying perspective, which is based on the separation of open and closed positions. Volatility in stock index futures markets (Standard & Poor’s 500, DAX 30 and Nikkei 225) is related to the flow of contracts entered into the markets and the flow of contracts that are closed out. In general, the daily changes in the number of open and closed positions are both positively correlated with volatility. Codes of conduct have become perhaps the most frequently used tool in the management of corporate social responsibility. This research aims to determine the wa y in which Credit Institutions perceive tr ansparency and to see how this influ- ences the application of codes of ethics. The fieldwork was conducted by means of a survey that was answered by 57 Spanish Credit Institutions. The 3-(1H-indol-2-yl)-7H-[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazin-6-ol 2 was obtained exclusively in the enol configuration starting from triazolyl-indole derivative 1 and alkyl halo-esters in the presence of K2CO3. Chemical structure elucidations with the aid of physicochemical characterizations were used to predict its molecular structure while single crystal X-ray diffraction technique was used to shed the light on the supramolecular structure of 2. Työn tuunaaminen on oma-aloitteista työn kehittämistä työn voimavaroja ja vaatimuksia muokkaamalla. Tutkimme, millaisia tuunausprofiileja voidaan löytää kolmesta erilaisesta tuunaustavasta, jotka olivat työn voimavarojen lisääminen, työn vaatimusten lisääminen ja työn vaatimusten optimoiminen. Selvitimme myös, miten työhyvinvointi vaihtelee profiileissa. Sähköiseen kyselyyn osallistui 1 024 sosiaali- ja terveysalan organisaation työntekijää. Työn piirteet ja hyvinvointi yliopistotyössä: vapaaehtoisten ja vastentahtoisten määräaikaisten ja vakinaisten työntekijöiden vertailu

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää miten vakinaiset, vapaaehtoisesti määräaikaiset ja vastentahtoisesti määräaikaiset työntekijät eroavat toisistaan erilaisissa taustatekijöissä, työn psykososiaalisissa piirteissä (vaatimukset ja voimavarat) ja hyvinvoinnissa (työhyvinvointi ja yleinen koettu henkinen hyvinvointi). Tutkimus kohdistui kahden suomalaisen monialaisen yliopiston tutkimus- ja opetushenkilöstöön. Aineistossa vakinaisia työntekijöitä oli 40 % (n = 408), vastentahtoisesti määräaikaisia 49 % (n = 495) ja vapaaehtoisesti määräaikaisia 11 % (n = 111).
