Predictions from warped flavor dynamics based on the T′ family group
2020
We propose a realistic theory of fermion masses and mixings using a five-dimensional warped scenario where all fermions propagate in the bulk and the Higgs field is localized on the IR brane. The assumed $T'$ flavor symmetry is broken on the branes by flavon fields, providing a consistent scenario where fermion mass hierarchies arise from adequate choices of the bulk mass parameters, while quark and lepton mixing angles are restricted by the family symmetry. Neutrino mass splittings, mixing parameters and the Dirac CP phase all arise from the type-I seesaw mechanism and are tightly correlated, leading to predictions for the neutrino oscillation parameters, as well as expected \znbb decay ra…
Search for the Associated Production of abQuark and a Neutral Supersymmetric Higgs Boson that Decays intoτPairs
2010
We report results from a search for production of a neutral Higgs boson in association with a $b$ quark. We search for Higgs decays to $\tau$ pairs with one $\tau$ subsequently decaying to a muon and the other to hadrons. The data correspond to 2.7fb$^{-1}$ of $\ppbar$ collisions recorded by the D0 detector at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$TeV. The data are found to be consistent with background predictions. The result allows us to exclude a significant region of parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric model.
Search for Neutral Higgs Bosons in Multi-b-Jet Events inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV
2008
Data recorded by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are analyzed to search for neutral Higgs bosons produced in association with b quarks. This production mode can be enhanced in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). The search is performed in the three b quark channel using multijet triggered events corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb(-1). No statistically significant excess of events with respect to the predicted background is observed and limits are set in the MSSM parameter space.
Search for neutral supersymmetric higgs bosons in multijet events at s=1.96TeV

No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2005-10-07 We have performed a search for neutral Higgs bosons produced in association with bottom quarks in pp collisions, using 260pb-1 of data collected with the D0 detector in Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The cross sections for these processes are enhanced in many extensions of the standard model (SM), such as in its minimal supersymmetric extension at large tanâ□¡Î. The results of our analysis agree with expectations from the SM, and we use our measurements to set upper limits on the production of neutral Higgs bosons in the mass range of 90 to 150 GeV. © 2005 The American Ph…
Search for Charged Higgs Bosons Decaying into Top and Bottom Quarks in pp Collisions
2009
Made available in DSpace on 2022-04-28T20:54:02Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2009-05-14 We describe a search for production of a charged Higgs boson, qq̄′→H+, reconstructed in the tb̄ final state in the mass range 180≤MH+≤300GeV. The search was undertaken at the Fermilab Tevatron collider with a center-of-mass energy s=1.96TeV and uses 0.9fb-1 of data collected with the D0 detector. We find no evidence for charged Higgs boson production and set upper limits on the production cross section in the types I, II, and III two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDMs). An excluded region in the (MH+, tanβ) plane for type I 2HDM is presented. © 2009 The American Physical Society. Universida…
Measurements of the Total and Differential Higgs Boson Production Cross Sections Combining theH→γγandH→ZZ*→4ℓDecay Channels ats=8 TeVwith the ATLAS …
2015
Measurements of the total and differential cross sections of Higgs boson production are performed using 20.3 fb(-1) of pp collisions produced by the Large Hadron Collider at a center-of-mass energy of root s = 8 TeV and recorded by the ATLAS detector. Cross sections are obtained from measured H -> gamma gamma and H -> ZZ*. 4l event yields, which are combined accounting for detector efficiencies, fiducial acceptances, and branching fractions. Differential cross sections are reported as a function of Higgs boson transverse momentum, Higgs boson rapidity, number of jets in the event, and transverse momentum of the leading jet. The total production cross section is determined to be sigma(pp -> …
Electron and muon $g-2$ anomalies in general flavour conserving two Higgs doublets models
2020
In general two Higgs doublet models (2HDMs) without scalar flavour changing neutral couplings (SFCNC) in the lepton sector, the electron, muon and tau interactions can be decoupled in a robust framework, stable under renormalization group evolution. In this framework, the breaking of lepton flavour universality (LFU) goes beyond the mass proportionality, opening the possibility to accommodate a different behaviour among charged leptons. We analyze the electron and muon $(g-2)$ anomalies in the context of these general flavour conserving models in the leptonic sector (g$\ell$FC). We consider two different models, I-g$\ell$FC and II-g$\ell$FC, in which the quark Yukawa couplings coincide, res…
Dipole operator constraints on composite Higgs models
2014
Flavour- and CP-violating electromagnetic or chromomagnetic dipole operators in the quark sector are generated in a large class of new physics models and are strongly constrained by measurements of the neutron electric dipole moment and observables sensitive to flavour-changing neutral currents, such as the $B\to X_s\gamma$ branching ratio and $\epsilon'/\epsilon$. After a model-independent discussion of the relevant constraints, we analyze these effects in models with partial compositeness, where the quarks get their masses by mixing with vector-like composite fermions. These scenarios can be seen as the low-energy limit of composite Higgs or warped extra dimensional models. We study diffe…
Physical constraints on a class of two-Higgs doublet models with FCNC at tree level
2014
We analyse the constraints and some of the phenomenological implications of a class of two Higgs doublet models where there are flavour-changing neutral currents (FCNC) at tree level but the potentially dangerous FCNC couplings are suppressed by small entries of the CKM matrix V. This class of models have the remarkable feature that, as a result of a discrete symmetry of the Lagrangian, the FCNC couplings are entirely fixed in the quark sector by V and the ratio v 2/v 1 of the vevs of the neutral Higgs. The discrete symmetry is extended to the leptonic sector, so that there are FCNC in the leptonic sector with their flavour structure fixed by the leptonic mixing matrix. We analyse a large n…
Natural quasi-alignment with two Higgs doublets and RGE stability
2015
In the context of two Higgs doublet models, we study the conditions required in order to have stable quasi-alignment in flavour space. We show that stability under the RGE imposes strong constraints on the flavour structure of the Yukawa couplings associated to each one of the Higgs doublets. In particular, we find a novel solution, where all Yukawa couplings are proportional to the so-called democratic matrix. This solution is rather unique, since it is the only stable solution which is a good starting point for reproducing the observed pattern of quark masses and mixing. We also show that this stable solution can be obtained by imposing on the Lagrangian a $Z_3 \times Z^\prime_3$ flavour …
