Energiapuuta käytetään yhä enemmän uusiutuvan energian lähteenä. Energiapuun korjuussa hakkuutähteitä eli kantoja, oksia ja latvuksia kerätään päätehakkuun ja harvennuksen yhteydessä hakkuualoilta. Tämä vähentää erityisesti pienikokoisen lahopuun ja kantojen määrää. Lahopuu on tärkeä resurssi boreaalisissa metsissä, mutta sen määrä talousmetsissä on alhainen luonnonmetsiin verrattuna. Maģistra darba mērķis ir, izmantojot teorētiskos materiālus, pasaules pieredzi, izstrādāt ieteikumus bezregresa hipotekārā kredīta ieviešanai Latvijā. Darba pirmajā nodaļā autors pēta kredīta definējumus un kreditēšanas noteicošos faktorus. Darba otrajā daļā tiek pētīta bez regresa un regresa nosacījumu ietekmi uz hipotekārās kreditēšanas aktivitāti, riskiem un izmaksām. Understanding altered contractile properties in advanced age : insights from a systematic muscle modelling approach

Age-related alterations of skeletal muscle are numerous and present inconsistently, and the effect of their interaction on contractile performance can be nonintuitive. Hill-type muscle models predict muscle force according to well-characterised contractile phenomena. Coupled with simple, yet reasonably realistic activation dynamics, such models consist of parameters that are meaningfully linked to fundamental aspects of muscle excitation and contraction. AbstractTo build a forecasting tool for the state of eutrophication in the Archipelago Sea, we fitted a Generalized Additive Mixed Model (GAMM) to marine environmental monitoring data, which were collected over the years 2011–2019 by an automated profiling buoy at the Seili ODAS-station. The resulting “Seili-index” can be used to predict the chlorophyll-α (chl-a) concentration in the seawater a number of days ahead by using the temperature forecast as a covariate. An array of test predictions with two separate models on the 2019 data set showed that the index is adept at predicting the amount of chl-a especially in the upper water layer.
