Le unioni omosessuali rappresentano un banco di prova per gli ordinamenti costituzionali sotto il profilo della tutela dei diritti fondamentali. Diverse sono le posizioni espresse dalla giurisprudenza della Corte europea dei diritti dell'Uomo e dalla Corte di Giustizia dell'Unione europea. Nell'ordinamento costituzionale italiano, in assenza di alcune disciplina normativa, la tutela delle coppie omosessuali è stata garantita dalla Corte costituzionale e dagli interventi dei giudici comuni.

La questione delle unioni omosessuali caratterizza il dibattito, ormai, di tutti i Paesi europei. Diverse sembrano essere le posizioni assunte dalla Corte Europea dei Diritti dell'Uomo e dalla Corte di Giustizia dell'UE. La prima sembra imporre agli Stati l'estensione dell'istituto matrimoniale alle coppie di uguale sesso, indipendentemente dalle consolidate caratteristiche costituzionali di ciascuno Stato. La seconda, in sintonia con il suo ruolo, assume una posizione più rispettosa delle identità costituzionali nazionali.

This paper aims at casting light on the first Arab-language gay magazine from Morocco and the Arab World. “Mithly”, which in Arabic has the double meaning of “homo” and “like me”, appeared for the first time on the web and in print (200 copies) in Rabat on April 1st 2010. The first issue, composed of fifteen pages (fourteen in Arabic and one in French), contains articles on different themes: reflections on politics, life and love, personal experiences and a short story, whose integral Italian translation is offered in Appendix.

Social scripts of male sex worker are very different from the female ones, just considering the way of introducing the professionist or also considering the way of having the sexual intercourse. Human herpes virus 8 (HHV8) appears to be the primary aetiologic agent of Kaposi sarcoma (KS). To study the distribution of HHV8, a seroepidemiological study was carried out in western Sicily, where a high incidence rate of classical KS is well documented.A total of 970 sera of healthy human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) negative individuals of general population (1-70 years old) and 742 sera of individuals in different risk groups for HIV infection were evaluated by means of an indirect immunofluorescence assay able to detect antibodies to lytic and latent HHV8 antigens.Crude seroprevalence to HHV8 antigens was 11.5% in the general population, and it increased significantly with age from 6%…

Introduction. In recent years an increase in the number of sexu- ally transmitted infections (STIs) in men who have sex with men (MSM) has been reported in different industrialised countries. Because few epidemiological data on the STIs/MSM population in Sicily are available, a survey was conducted to assess the preva- lence of STIs/enteric protozoa and risky sexual behaviours among MSM in western Sicily.
