Extended Families as Communities of Religious Experience in Late Seventeenth-Century Eastern Finland

AbstractThis chapter offers an interpretation of extended families as communities of experience in a rural area close to the eastern border of the Swedish realm. Through a case study of lower court records, Kuha examines the social and religious life in a 17th-century farm culminating in the crisis of an extended family. The chapter explores how practices of lived religion shaped the relationship of the community and the individual, and how experiences were negotiated within families and local communities. The analysis highlights the importance of protecting the boundaries of the household as well as the meaning of religious practices in creating cohesion within the community.

Psychological contract profiles among permanent and temporary agency workers

Purpose– Based on the psychological contract (PC) theory, the purpose of this paper is to identify PC profiles, differentiating between permanent and temporary agency workers (TAW). Moreover, the authors analyzed whether different profiles presented different levels of work engagement.Design/methodology/approach– A cross-sectional survey data analysis of 2,867 workers, of whom 1,046 were TAW, was analyzed using latent profile analyses.Findings– Four PC profiles were identified, which differed quantitatively in terms of the overall dimension levels (i.e. balanced, relational and transactional) for PC (i.e. content and fulfillment). Background The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed guidelines for 24-h physical activity (PA), sedentary behaviour and sleep for young children. Lower socioeconomic status (SES) has been linked to a lower likelihood of meeting these guidelines. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) raised concerns about young children’s opportunities to meet the guidelines. Bakalaura darba temats ir "Ķekavas kultūras nams mutvārdu liecībās un publikācijās". Šajā bakalaura darbā galvenais mērķis ir sniegt plašāku ieskatu par Ķekavas kultūras nama darbības atspoguļojumu no 1970. gada līdz mūsdienām mutvārdu liecībās un publikācijās. Pētījuma uzdevumi izvirzīti un apzināti teorētiskās literatūras izpētē, izmantotas mutvārdu vēstures intervijas, savukārt datu analīzē tika izmantotas pamatotās teorijas pieeja un dokumentu analīze. Veicot bakalaura darba pētījumu, tika intervēti vairāki respondenti.
