The art. 12 of d.lgs. n. 175/2016 transposes the conclusions reached by the Italian Corte di cassazione on the liability of publicly-owned companies’ directors (and about and the consequential division between ordinary courts and the Corte dei conti jurisdiction). The paper retraces the fundamental stages of the jurisprudential path that led to this result and highlights some of its contradictory aspects.

The dynamics of printed text production and circulation during the second half of 17th century are shown through an individual case study. Juan Silvestre Salva was a Spanish literate man active in Vienna (translator, occasional poet) before migrating to Sicily as a book professional (proof corrector, publisher and printer, and eventually librarian). His most important venture was perhaps the issue of some texts by Archimedes, that he managed to accomplish in Palermo, from the basis of a former edition that another printer had started in Messina, and then interrupted at the time of the city rebellion against the Spanish crown.
Soft Topographic Map for Clustering and Classification of Bacteria

In this work a new method for clustering and building a topographic representation of a bacteria taxonomy is presented. The method is based on the analysis of stable parts of the genome, the so-called “housekeeping genes”. The proposed method generates topographic maps of the bacteria taxonomy, where relations among different type strains can be visually inspected and verified. Two well known DNA alignement algorithms are applied to the genomic sequences. Topographic maps are optimized to represent the similarity among the sequences according to their evolutionary distances. Abstract A new model for accounting carbon and energy footprint of wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is proposed. The model quantifies direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to biological and physical processes of a WWTP. The model takes into account several innovative aspects with respect to already available literature models: i. kinetic/mass-balances; ii. nitrification as a two-step process; iii. nitrous oxide (N2O) formation during nitrification and denitrification both in dissolved and off-gas forms. Abstract Caregiver-child interaction is known to play a central role in children’s socioemotional development, yet the diversity of measures commonly used to evaluate it call into question the nature of the construct being assessed. Contingency within caregiver-child interactions has been identified as a key dyadic process that requires taking a temporal perspective to evaluating interactions.
