In the medieval cemetery of the Historic Site of San Juan del Hospital of Valencia is housed a small funeral chapel founded in the late thirteenth century by the knight Arnau de Romaní. Along its cornice there are a series of heads of animals and humans that are one of the few sculptural vestiges inserted into the Romanesque iconographic tradition that are preserved in the city. So far they have not aroused the interest of specialists and no one has dedicated a detailed study to these curious and interesting images located in the marginal spaces of such a beautiful building. Starting from sociologist Anne-Marie Green?s idea of ?common space?, and from Hans Robert Hauss? reception theory, the improvisation workshop is thought to be a way of transforming the practices of reception, in order to modify the nature of the culture of listening of each listener. Four research axis are, then, proposed, from the validation of the personal experience of the participants to the reception of the instant?s surprise as a factor of education, including the research of communicational tools specific to reception of music, capable of captivating the listeners with the original aspects of the unknown musical territories.

Let H (d, w) be the Hurwitz space that parametrizes degree d simple coverings of the projective line with w = 2g + 2d - 2 branch points. A classic result affirms the unirationality of these spaces for d \leq 3. Successively, Arbarello and Cornalba in [E. Arbarello and M. Cornalba, Footnotes to a paper of Beniamino Segre, Math. Ann. 256 (1981), 341--362] prove that the spaces H (d, w) are unirational in the following cases: d \leq 5 and g \geq d - 1, d = 6 and 5 \leq g \leq 10 or g = 12 and d = 7 and g = 7. Šis maģistra darbs ir veltīts Šerloka Holmsa attēlojumam Artūra Konana Doila romānos, detektīvstāstos un vienā ekranizācijā. Pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt vai šis tēls satur visus neoromantisma tēlam raksturīgus elementus un atbilst neoromantisma tēla aprakstam. Tika analizēti sekojoši Artura Konana Doila darbi, “Edīte purpura toņos” (1887), “Četru zīme” (1890), “Šerloka Holmsa piedzīvojumi” (1892), “Bāskervilu suns” (1902), kā arī viena ekranizācija ‘Šerloks” (2010). Pielietotā pētījuma metode ir salīdzinošā analīze, teksta analīze un teksta interpretācija. Maģistra darbs „Mutiskā tulkošana evaņģēliskajās draudzēs ar dievkalpojumiem krievu valodā” izstrādāts 2017. gada pavasarī. Mutiskās tulkošanas nozares pētniekus arvien vairāk interesē dažādu tulkošanas situāciju pētniecība. Taču mutiskā tulkošana draudzēs, neskatoties uz tās vēsturisko nozīmi tulkošanas jomā, arvien palikusi novārtā. Šī darba autore, draudzes tulks ar 25 gadu stāžu, vēlās pievērst uzmanību šai savas kompetences jomai, mutiskajai tulkošanai evaņģēliskajās draudzēs ar dievkalpojumiem krievu valodā, un izveidot „ideālā” draudzes tulka portretu, balstoties uz klientu vēlmēm. Orthodox–Evangelical relationships are dominated by proselytism (at least in Eastern Europe and in the former Soviet Union). This is understood as church conversion practiced through unfair means among people who are already Christians, belonging to so-called “historical churches.” However, beyond it, there is a real potential for cooperation using moral values as a starting point. As there is an increasing disagreement between the Orthodox and mainline Protestant on moral values, the Orthodox and Evangelicals might increase their cooperation as they witness traditional values of Christianity. Toxicity of several d-endotoxins of Bacillus thuringiensis against Helicoverpa armigera (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) from Spain

Abstract Toxicity and larval growth inhibition of 11 insecticidal proteins of Bacillus thuringiensis were evaluated against neonate larvae of Helicoverpa armigera, a major pest of important crops in Spain and other countries, by a whole-diet contamination method. The most active toxins were Cry1Ac4 and Cry2Aa1, with LC50 values of 3.5 and 6.3 μg/ml, respectively. At the concentrations tested, Cry1Ac4, Cry2Aa1, Cry9Ca, Cry1Fa1, Cry1Ab3, Cry2Ab2, Cry1Da, and Cry1Ja1, produced a significant growth inhibition, whereas Cry1Aa3, Cry1Ca2, and Cry1Ea had no effect.
