Tämä tutkielma pyrkii tarkentamaan poliittisen satiirin määritelmää suhteessa aiempaan satiirin ja huumorin tutkimukseen. Työssä on myös tavoitteena pyrkiä yhteiskuntatieteelliseen näkökulmaan vastaamalla muodostetun määritelmän avulla kysymykseen poliittisessa satiirissa esiintyvän huumorin ja yhteiskuntakritiikin suhteen laadusta. Recently, two instances of virtue-related humor: benevolent and corrective, have been introduced. Benevolent humor treats human weaknesses and wrongdoings benevolently, while corrective humor aims at correcting and bettering them. Twelve marker items for benevolent and corrective humor (BenCor) were developed, and it was demonstrated that they fill the gap between humor as temperament and virtue. The present study investigates responses to the BenCor from 25 samples in 22 countries (overall N = 7, 226). A recombinant polypeptide corresponding to a virus-specific cDNA clone (c100-3) serves as the antigen for a hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody assay. Previous investigations have shown an 80% prevalence of HCV antibodies in sera of patients suffering from post-transfusional chronic hepatitis non-A, non-B, but positive results were also obtained for 30 to 70% of sera from patients with chronic hepatitis B or autoimmune hepatitis. A previous study also supported the viability of measuring these two styles with the BenCor in 22 countries. A partir de los casos de Tricicle, Pepe Rubianes y Faemino y Cansado, el artículo examina las constantes que se perciben en la recepción del teatro humorístico en la prensa contemporánea. La consulta de numerosas entrevistas y reseñas publicadas durante más de veinticinco años evidencia unas reiteradas estrategias de los citados cómicos de cara a la promoción de sus espectáculos y, sobre todo, el convencionalismo y escaso compromiso crítico de los periodistas en la realización de estos trabajos. No obstante, la consulta de esta documentación resulta imprescindible porque, entre otros motivos, contamos con una escasa bibliografía académica sobre estos ejemplos del humor contemporáneo.
