Specifying agency relationships between the different actors in ambulatory care - the patient, the physician, the insurance and public authorities - allows to render an account of the complexity and the specificity of the health system. After a presentation of the normative approach of the agency theory, we will focus on two agency relationships : the Relationship between the insurance and insured people and the relationship between the patient and the physician. Elle s'inscrit dans le cadre d'étude des représentations sociales. Il s'agit de mettre en évidence les éléments structurant la représentation de l'hygiène. Trois études sont présentées. La première procède par questionnaire, elle se centre sur les professionnels. La deuxième porte sur le même objet et utilise la même méthode, elle vise les étudiants en soins infirmiers. The current study deals with the representation of hospital hygiene. The purpose is twofold: 1- to understand how knowledge about hygiene is acquired by nursing staff during their training (effect of the level of knowledge); 2- to identify how this knowledge evolves while practising a job in direct connection with hygiene (effect of practice). Three groups of participants were questioned: nursing staff (nursing executives, nurses and nursing auxiliaries), students training in nursing care (first, second and third year students) and non-specialist students.
