Mediated learning materials: visibility checks in telepresence robot mediated classroom interaction

Videoconferencing is increasingly used in education as a way to support distance learning. This article contributes to the emerging interactional literature on video-mediated educational interaction by exploring how a telepresence robot is used to facilitate remote participation in university-level foreign language teaching. A telepresence robot differs from commonly used videoconferencing set-ups in that it allows mobility and remote camera control. AbstractThe paper considers three main questions: the legal status of digital designs from the perspective of EU design law, whether the protection is tied to the reproduction of physical products, and whether the scope of protection covers dimensional conversion such as using a 3D design in 2D form or vice versa. Despite the importance of IPLC worldviews and knowledge to sustaining human well-being and biodiversity, risks to these cultural resources are commonly neglected in environmental governance, in part because impacts can be indirect and therefore difficult to evaluate. A quantitative reverse Faber-Krahn inequality for the first Robin eigenvalue with negative boundary parameter

The aim of this paper is to prove a quantitative form of a reverse Faber-Krahn type inequality for the first Robin Laplacian eigenvalueλβwith negative boundary parameter among convex sets of prescribed perimeter. In that framework, the ball is the only maximizer forλβand the distance from the optimal set is considered in terms of Hausdorff distance. The key point of our stategy is to prove a quantitative reverse Faber-Krahn inequality for the first eigenvalue of a Steklov-type problem related to the original Robin problem.
