Global climate policies, local institutions and food security in a pastoral society in Ethiopia

This paper explores climate change adaptation within national policy priorities in a least developed country (LDC). The premise of the article is that when considering food security, climate is an exogenous trigger, while the deeper causes lie in social problems. Therefore, adaptation is subordinate to poverty alleviation. The paper examines how these two goals, climate adaptation and poverty alleviation, can be combined. Recent studies have shown that the most effective way to adapt to changing climate conditions in a poor country is to rely on local institutions that have established and sustainable mechanisms to deal with extreme climatic conditions. Nel corso degli ultimi vent'anni questa condizione è diventata oggetto di attenzione giuridica e clinica. é noto che più della metà degli stalker afferenti ai servizi psichiatrici e giudiziari è affetta da almeno un disturbo psichiatrico in comorbilità, tuttavia ad oggi non esiste un inquadramento diagnostico univoco del fenomeno che viene di volta in volta accostato alle esperienze psicotico, ai disturbi ossessivo-compulsivi ed alla psicopatia.

Black hole spectroscopy is a powerful tool to probe the Kerr nature of astrophysical compact objects and their environment. The observation of multiple ringdown modes in gravitational waveforms could soon lead to high-precision gravitational spectroscopy, so it is critical to understand if the quasinormal mode spectrum is stable against perturbations. Spectral analysis of the dipping LMXB system XB 1916-053

Context: XB 1916-053 is a low mass X-ray binary system (LMXB) hosting a neutron star (NS) and showing periodic dips. The spectrum of the persistent emission was modeled with a blackbody component having a temperature between 1.31 and 1.67 keV and with a Comptonization component with an electron temperature of 9.4 keV and a photon index $\Gamma$ between 2.5 and 2.9. The presence of absorption features associated with highly ionized elements suggested the presence of partially ionized plasma in the system.
