Income and Physical Activity among Adults: Evidence from Self-Reported and Pedometer-Based Physical Activity Measurements

This study examined the relationship between income and physical activity by using three measures to illustrate daily physical activity: the self-reported physical activity index for leisure-time physical activity, pedometer-based total steps for overall daily physical activity, and pedometer-based aerobic steps that reflect continuous steps for more than 10 min at a time. The study population consisted of 753 adults from Finland (mean age 41.7 years; 64% women) who participated in 2011 in the follow-up of the ongoing Young Finns study. Using data from the participants of the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personality and Social Development (JYLS) at ages 42 and 50 (N = 326), this study provides empirical evidence of the relation between income and mental well-being and of the possible role of personality traits in modifying this relation. Strictly correlated electrons approach to excitation energies of dissociating molecules

In this work we consider a numerically solvable model of a two-electron diatomic molecule to study a recently proposed approximation based on the density functional theory of so-called strictly correlated electrons (SCE). We map out the full two-particle wave function for a wide range of bond distances and interaction strengths and obtain analytic results for the two-particle states and eigenenergies in various limits of strong and weak interactions, and in the limit of large bond distance. A class of multivariate type I generalized logistic distributions

The logistic distribution has found important applications in many different fields and several different forms of generalizations have been proposed in the literature. However it seems, with a few exceptions, that there are not in the literature forms of multivariate generalized logistic distributions. In this paper we focus on the type I generalized logistic distribution and, based on a procedure of multivariate transformation of multivariate exponential distributions, we introduce a class of multivariate type I generalized logistic distributions. We provide some examples of bivariate and multivariate distributions of this class.

International audience; L'objectif de cet article est de montrer qu'il existe, au-delà du transfert de valeur de la marque, un transfert de valeur dû au produit en extension dans l'évaluation de l'extension de marque. Sur la base de la confrontation de trois champs de recherche rarement associés et complémentaires, nous proposerons le recours à deux déterminants de l'évaluation de l'extension de marque : le fit association et le fit contexte.
