Introduction: Due to the emergence of new pharmaceutical presentations of ibuprofen (40 mg/mL), an analysis was made on the use of antipyretics in paediatric outpatients in Spain. Patients and methods: A cross-sectional, observational, descriptive study was carried out on a sample of children under 14 years old with treated febrile syndrome, seen in the Emergency Room of the Hospital General Universitario de Valencia from November 2012 to January 2013. Results: Of the 217 children included, 144 were treated with paracetamol or ibuprofen, 69 received both drugs, and one received paracetamol and metamizol. Continuous monitoring of photocatalytic treatment by flow injection. Degradation of dicamba in aqueous TiO2 dispersions

The possible use of flow injection (FI) to monitor the photocatalytic mineralization of dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid) present at the trace level in aqueous solutions containing TiO2 suspensions has been evaluated. Experiments were performed in a stirred photochemical reactor equipped with a simple FI manifold, integrating an online filtration unit able to perform the monitoring of the UV absorbance of the irradiated solution every 4 min. The light source used was a medium pressure mercury lamp (125 W). Unia Europejska jest miejscem, w którym swoboda obywateli wyrażona jest poprzez możliwość przemieszania się, podróżowania, pracy,nauki lub życia w wybranym kraju UE. Realizacja tej wolności była wynikiem zniesienia kontroli na granicach wewnętrznych Unii. Jednak dla członka UE ceną tej wolności jest konieczność zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego, co sprawia, że ochronę granic zewnętrznych postrzega się jako specjalne zadanie. Unia Europejska, za pośrednictwem układu z Schengen, tworzy instytucje w zakresie ochrony granic zewnętrznych, w zakresie zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowego państw członkowskich. Synthesis of undulin by rat liver fat-storing cells: Comparison with fibronectin and tenascin

Abstract Fat-storing cells (FSCs) are known to synthesize various components of the hepatic extracellular matrix and thereby play an important role during liver fibrogenesis. The aim of our study was to investigate the synthesis of undulin, a recently described connective tissue protein belonging to the fibronectin—tenascin superfamily of glycoproteins, by fat-storing cells in primary culture. SDS-PAGE analysis of immunoprecipitates from cell layer lysates or media pulse-labeled with radioactive methionine revealed undulin-specific bands A (270 kDa), B1 (190 kDa), and B2 (180 kDa) after reduction.
