In many sports, weight control is often necessary (boxing, weightlifting, wrestling, etc.), but the KD usually is not considered. Abstract A new method is introduced which allows to form the exchange part of self-consistent field energy gradients in a way which scales linearly with molecular size for molecules with a non-vanishing HOMO–LUMO gap. This is not only important for Hartree–Fock but as well for the popular hybrid density functional theory methods. The method preserves the optimized integral-driven structure of conventional direct methods. Efficiency and scaling behavior of the new method are illustrated for DNA fragments.

The term adequate stimulus describes that class of environmental phenomena that requires the least amount of energy to elicit a percept mediated by a particular sensory system, implying that the receptive organs of that sensory system are specialized to detect those phenomena. It was difficult to transfer this concept to the perception of pain and to the nociceptive system. Many different stimuli may cause pain (pin prick, burn injury, freeze injury, inflammation, etc.), none of which needs particularly low amounts of energy. Observation of a superfluid component within solid helium

We demonstrate by neutron scattering that a localized superfluid component exists at high pressures within solid helium in aerogel. Its existence is deduced from the observation of two sharp phonon-roton spectra which are clearly distinguishable from modes in bulk superfluid helium. These roton excitations exhibit different roton gap parameters than the roton observed in the bulk fluid at freezing pressure. One of the roton modes disappears after annealing the samples. Comparison with theoretical calculations suggests that the model that reproduces the observed data best is that of superfluid double layers within the solid and at the helium-substrate interface. peerReviewed
