Impact of “Relation with learning” on scientific conceptions and knowledge among gymnasium pupils

2014

International audience; According Balacheff and Clement models, knowledge (K) and conceptions (C) interact mutually. Clement seems to define conceptions as a set of items fueled by values, practices and knowledge while Balacheff defines knowledge as a set of situated conceptions. Moreover, Chevallard and Charlot make the hypotesis that learning requires a factor commonly underestimated: the “relation with learning”.This study surveys the impact of the relation with learning on the evolution of scientific conceptions and knowledge among learners. It intends to test the Charlot and Chevallard hypothesis as well as the Balacheff and Clement models in order to identify a possible interaction be…

Impacto científico en los artículos sobre aplicaciones terapéuticas de las prácticas orientales cuerpo-mente (2006-2010)

2014

Global research on mind-body therapies is analysed, by focussing on scholarly articles on three Eastern disciplines (yoga, tai chi and qi gong) and three procedures (meditation, breathing exercises and relaxation). The bibliographic research was done using the Scopus database. The search was limited to the biomedical areas and to the years 2006-2010. We have analysed 2,363 articles published by 959 different journals. They were written by 6,583 authors from 2,162 institutions in 65 countries. Indicators of scientific productivity and impact were calculated for institutions, countries and subject areas, and the collaboration between authors and institutions was also determined. We have obser…

Is a seminar based on student-created screen capture videos a meaningful way of learning?

2008

We ran a problem-based seminar with screen capture videos. The students worked in small groups of two or three students or they completed the coursework individually. In this seminar the students had a workspace in the Optima environment for publishing their coursework videos. At the final phase of the course the students were expected to familiarize themselves with the presentations of other groups. In this paper we analyze the benefit of our problem-based coursework on the web by comparing the different phases of it. After each phase the students were expected to analyze the benefit of it for their learning. peerReviewed

Conception, design des documents numériques

2009

Leveraging National Auditing Criteria to Implement Cybersecurity Safeguards for the Automotive Emergency Response Vehicles : A case study from Finland

2017

A modern Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) is a combination of emergency services and functional mobile office on the wheels. The mobile office is aiming to leverage the benefits of fixed office while moving on the wheels. Researchers have observed that emergency response personnel including Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs), Police and border guards, could be on the duty while having possibility to use same services compared to fixed office. On the one hand, demand of mobile office has significantly improved the emergency response services. On the other hand, emergency vehicle designers should rethink the demand of users. This resulted into modern standard emergency response vehicle with t…

Do SETA Interventions Change Security Behavior? : A Literature Review

2023

Information security education, training, and awareness (SETA) are approaches to changing end-users’ security behavior. Research into SETA has conducted interventions to study the effects of SETA on security behavior. However, we lack aggregated knowledge on ‘how do SETA interventions influence security behavior?’. This study reviews 21 empirical SETA intervention studies published across the top IS journals. The theoretical findings show that the research has extended Protection Motivation Theory by (1) enhancements to fear appeals; (2) drawing attention to relevance; (3) incorporating temporality; (4) and shifting from intentions to behavior. In terms of behavior, the SETA interventions h…
