On the inverse absolute continuity of quasiconformal mappings on hypersurfaces

We construct quasiconformal mappings $f\colon \mathbb{R}^{3} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{3}$ for which there is a Borel set $E \subset \mathbb{R}^2 \times \{0\}$ of positive Lebesgue $2$-measure whose image $f(E)$ has Hausdorff $2$-measure zero. This gives a solution to the open problem of inverse absolute continuity of quasiconformal mappings on hypersurfaces, attributed to Gehring. By implication, our result also answers questions of V\"ais\"al\"a and Astala--Bonk--Heinonen.

In this paper we propose a solution as support for quality systems for production software. The motivation behind this study was to reduce that cost in the production area caused by gaps in the quality of the production software. ResumenEl objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar el impacto percibido por parte de los alumnos como resultado de su participación en el programa de la Universidad de la Experiencia de la Universidad de La Rioja. La muestra estuvo formada por 83 alumnos de dicho programa. Al grupo de estudiantes se les aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc para evaluar potenciales resultados a diferentes niveles: general, educativo, social, afectivo, cognitivo, físico y afectividad negativa. Lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) provides the only known systematic, nonperturbative method for first-principles calculations of nucleon structure. However, for quantities such as lightfront parton distribution functions (PDFs) and generalized parton distributions (GPDs), the restriction to Euclidean time prevents direct calculation of the desired observable. Recently, progress has been made in relating these quantities to matrix elements of spatially nonlocal, zero-time operators, referred to as quasidistributions. HAWK 2.0: A Monte Carlo program for Higgs production in vector-boson fusion and Higgs strahlung at hadron colliders

The Monte Carlo integrator HAWK provides precision predictions for Higgs production at hadron colliders in vector-boson fusion and Higgs strahlung, i.e. in production processes where the Higgs boson is Attached to WeaK bosons. The fully differential predictions include the full QCD and electroweak next-to-leading-order corrections. Results are computed as integrated cross sections and as binned distributions for important hadron-collider observables.
Laser induced thermal profiles in thermally and optically thin films

The temperature field generated by the weak absorption of a gaussian laser beam in an optically and thermally thin film bounded by two transparent plates is discussed. An analytical solution of the problem is presented together with an algorithm for the numerical integration. The influence of the finite thermal conductivity of the plates is shown in an example.
Tests of quark-hadron duality in tau-decays

An exhaustive number of QCD finite energy sum rules for $\tau$-decay together with the latest updated ALEPH data is used to test the assumption of global duality. Typical checks are the absence of the dimension $d=2$ condensate, the equality of the gluon condensate extracted from vector or axial vector spectral functions, the Weinberg sum rules, the chiral condensates of dimensions $d=6$ and $d=8$, as well as the extraction of some low-energy parameters of chiral perturbation theory. Suitable pinched linear integration kernels are introduced in the sum rules in order to suppress potential quark-hadron duality violations and experimental errors. Common fixed point results on quasi-Banach spaces and integral equations

In this paper we obtain fixed and common fixed point theorems for self-mappings defined on a closed and convex subset C of a quasi-Banach space. We give also a constructive method for finding the common fixed points of the involved mappings. As an application we obtain a result of the existence of solutions of integral equations.
