The psychophysiological measuring method for the determination of the auditory order threshold (OT) is steadily gaining in importance, both for the diagnosis and treatment of speech disorders. Observed intraindividual variability of (macro-) vigilance led to the hypothesis of discontinuous cognitive processing in the central nervous system. Flexural behavior of corroded RC beams

Synopsis: A handily model to evaluate the bending resistance and the ductility of corroded beams critical in flexure and shear is proposed and debated. Effects of diffused and pitting corrosion on steel bars, compressive concrete strength reduction and concrete bond strength reduction due to rust creation are modelled. Practical method derived on limit state theory was here used to calculate the flexural and shear strength and the available ductility. The effectiveness of the model was also corroborated against numerous results collected in the literature pertaining to bending and shear resistance.

In this paper, we study analytically the process of external generation and subsequent free evolution of the lepton chiral asymmetry and helical magnetic fields in the early hot universe. This process is known to be affected by the Abelian anomaly of the electroweak gauge interactions. As a consequence, chiral asymmetry in the fermion distribution generates magnetic fields of non-zero helicity, and vice versa. The $\Lambda$CDM model provides a good fit to a large span of cosmological data but harbors areas of phenomenology. With the improvement of the number and the accuracy of observations, discrepancies among key cosmological parameters of the model have emerged. A tight binding supercell approach is used for the calculation of the electronic structure of the (111) LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface. The confinement potential at the interface is evaluated solving a discrete Poisson equation by means of an iterative method. In addition to the effect of the confinement, local Hubbard electron–electron terms are included at the mean-field level within a fully self-consistent procedure. The calculation carefully describes how the two-dimensional electron gas arises from the quantum confinement of electrons near the interface due to the band bending potential. The barrier height of the F+H2 reaction revisited: coupled-cluster and multireference configuration-interaction benchmark calculations.

Large scale coupled-cluster benchmark calculations have been carried out to determine the barrier height of the F+H2 reaction as accurately as possible. The best estimates for the barrier height of the linear and bent transition states amount to 2.16 and 1.63 kcal/mol, respectively. These values include corrections for core correlation, scalar-relativistic effects, spin-orbit effects, as well as the diagonal Born-Oppenheimer correction. The CCSD(T) basis-set limits are estimated using extrapolation techniques with augmented quintuple and sextuple-zeta basis sets, and remaining N-electron errors are determined using coupled-cluster singles, doubles, triples, quadruples calculations with up t…
