In this chapter, we argue about a paradox of sustainability in the context of luxury goods and brands: Intuitively, luxury brands should be more sustainable versus normal brands, since consumer’s willingness to pay is high which should allow for highest standards in quality, including sustainability. However, many of the most expensive luxury products appear to exhibit limited sustainability. Este trabajo indaga en el eco plausible que el asalto a la judería de Valencia en 1391 pudo hallar en la cultura figurativa del retablo de la Santa Cruz del Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia, que presenta vínculos en apariencia circunstanciales pero también significativos con la experiencia de la conversión, la violencia con que se había impuesto y su legitimación como expresión de la justicia divina. Esta obra se vinculan a un contexto temporal y topográfico muy preciso que no cabe desdeñar, sino reconsiderar a la luz de aquellos hechos y del desgarro que produjeron entre cristianos viejos y conversos. This paper deals about the changes happened in the procession of the Corpus Christi in Seville. We have news of that from 1363, and along the following centuries, but the most interesting is the way the procession is represented by two series of drawings one from 1747, and the other from 1866. Abstract Purpose To evaluate which respiratory support method for critically ill patients undergoing endotracheal intubation (ETI) is associated with less desaturation. Methods We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus and CINAHL databases. We included randomized (RCT) and non-randomized (non-RCT) studies investigating any method of respiratory support before/during ETI compared to a reference control. Results Apneic oxygenation (ApOx) was the most commonly investigated respiratory support technique for critically ill patients undergoing intubation (4 RCTs, 358 patients). La presente investigación recopila y analiza la imagen pictórica drogada en el entresiglos XIX-XX europeo, prestando especial atención al caso español, desde la exposición descriptiva; un trabajo elaborado con voluntad de catálogo. Las conclusiones teóricas dan cuenta no sólo de que el leitmotiv tóxico puede convertirse en una temática cambiosecular en sí misma, también pone de manifiesto como el uso y abuso de narcóticos, estimulantes y drogas visionarias conforma el imaginario europeo, una iconografía que continua vigente en la segunda década del siglo XXI.
