Monolayers of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine at the oil-water interface

Abstract Monolayers of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine at the interfaces waterbicylohexyl, waterdodecane and waterhexadecane were studied by fluorescence microscopy and thermodynamic measurements. The experiments show that the oil also partitions in the liquid condensed (LC) monolayer phase with concentration depending on the type of oil and the lateral pressure. In contrast to monolayers of dipalmitoylphosphatidylethanolamine the larger molecular area per head group enables oil partitioning in the LC phase even if there is a mismatch between the aliphatic tails of liquid and alkane.

ABSTRACT Tregs play a central role in modulating FcɛRI-dependent MC effector functions in the course of the allergic response. Cellular interaction depends on the constitutive expression of OX40 on Tregs and the OX40L counterpart on MCs. Study of OX40L signaling on MCs is hampered by the need of a highly purified molecule, which triggers OX40L specifically. We now report that sOX40 mimics the physiological activity of Treg interaction by binding to activated MCs. La literatura destaca la falta de instrumentos de evaluación de estrategias de apoyo en este ámbito con propiedades psicométricas adecuadas. According IPCC guidelines for determination of greenhouse gases in waste management (IPCC 2006) the quantity of greenhouse gases must be determined for the emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O for such treatment activities: disposal of solid waste, biological treatment of solid waste and incineration and open burning of waste. The present paper deals with the selection of variables for the H-point and generalised H-point standard additions methods (HPSAM and GHPSAM, respectively). Both methods are applied for the resolution of spectroscopic interfered signals in the UV-vis range. The HPSAM is a suitable method for the resolution of binary and ternary mixtures when the interferent is known. The GHPSAM is applied for the resolution of samples that contain unknown interferents. Resumen Los pacientes con COVID-19 que ingresan en una unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI), tienen un alto riesgo de desarrollar infecciones secundarias, incluyendo infecciones fungicas invasivas como aspergilosis pulmonar invasiva (API). El objetivo principal fue el analisis de los casos con sospecha de COVID-19 Associated Pulmonary Aspergillosis (CAPA) en nuestra unidad.
