The retrieval of sun-induced fluorescence (SIF) from hyperspectral radiance data grew to maturity with research activities around the FLuorescence EXplorer satellite mission FLEX, yet full-spectrum estimation methods such as the spectral fitting method (SFM) are computationally expensive. To bypass this computational load, this work aims to approximate the SFM-based SIF retrieval by means of statistical learning, i.e., emulation. Sintētisko miRNS ietekme uz zarnu mikrobioma kompozīciju 2. tipa cukura diabēta peļu modelī

Zarnu mikrobioma kompozīcijas izmaiņas tiek asociētas ar dažādām slimībām, tostarp otrā tipa cukura diabētu (T2D). Interese par T2D ārstēšanu, regulējot mikrobiomu, ir strauji augusi. Ir pierādīts, ka miRNS spēj tieši saistīties pie baktērijām, tādējādi ietekmējot to sastopamību. Lai noskaidrotu, vai un kā miRNS ietekmē mikrobioma sastāvu un diabēta izpausmes diētas ierosinātā T2D peļu modelī, tām tika orāli nodrošināta nedēļu ilga dažādu miRNS terapija, kam sekoja fēču metagenoma sekvencēšana. Pelēm, kas saņēma paaugstināta tauku satura barību, miRNS terapijas ietekmē izmainījās zarnu mikrobioma kompozīcija. Opetusteknologia on osa monen suomalaiskoulun – opettajien ja oppilaiden – arkea eri puolilla Suomea. Opetusteknologian hyödyntäminen on avannut luokkahuoneiden ovia ympäröivään maailmaan ja samalla tuonut oppimisen maailmoista kiinnostuneita tahoja lähemmäksi koulun arkea. Reciprocal Relationships Between Perceived Supportive School Climate and Self-reported Truancy : A Longitudinal Study from Grade 6 to Grade 9

This longitudinal study of 1,066 Finnish students examined bidirectional reciprocal relationships between changes in perceived supportive school climate and changes in self-reported truancy from the last year of primary school (Grade 6) to the last year of lower secondary school (Grade 9). The results of the random intercept cross-lagged panel model showed, first, that a decrease in positive perceptions of school climate at the previous time point predicted more self-reported truancy at the following time point.
