Hydro-mechanical modelling of MX-80 bentonite: one dimensional study

As a first step towards modelling the coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical-Chemical (THMC) behaviour of bentonite, the Barcelona Basic Model (BBM) has been implemented into Numerrin finite element code. This model has been fully coupled with the single phase flow equation for unsaturated soils which models liquid water transport. Suction obtained from solving the flow equation is used as an input for the BBM model and the volumetric deformations from the mechanical analysis are used to update the pore water pressure field. In this paper, we investigate what types of behavior changes Pokémon GO has promoted or induced among its players. Using a DEA framework (Data Envelopment Analysis), we develop new performance indicators for integrated retail networks. A methodological discussion leads us to propose a productivity indicator which respects the criteria of controllability and transversal coherence. We then formalise the relationship between a performance indicator of a network's headquarters and the productivity of its various retailers. Finally, we combine these new indicators in crafting a management tool amenable to a system of balanced scorecards.

The purpose of this thesis was to identify technical determinants of elite level air rifle and biathlon standing shooting performance and investigate how these technical determinants are affected by training, competition situation, or intense exercise. Forty international and national level air rifle shooters and 17 biathletes participated in the studies. This justifies the growing interest of scientific research towards the identification of suitable media and methodologies able to pursue above goals, paying attention to matter of sustainability.
