Digitaalinen raha ja maksujärjestelmä Bitcoin on herättänyt paljon huomiota viime vuosina. Elektronisen liiketoiminnan toimijat ovat kuitenkin olleet hitaita hyväksymään Bitcoinin maksuvälineenä. Witchcraft as a crime attracted the attention of Polish-Lithuanian society in many aspects at the turn of 17th and 18th centuries. On the one hand, it was connected with a belief in its efficiency, in the existence of witches and sorcerers, and their covenant with the devil. The article analyzes two manuscripts: a prayer „Modlitwa przeciwko czarom i niebezpieczeństwom” and a sermon „ Jako się strzedz czarów i potwarzy o nie”. The sermon utilizes contemporary rhetoric, stresses the importan-ce of sin and appeals to the receivers through fear. Extended Families as Communities of Religious Experience in Late Seventeenth-Century Eastern Finland

AbstractThis chapter offers an interpretation of extended families as communities of experience in a rural area close to the eastern border of the Swedish realm. Through a case study of lower court records, Kuha examines the social and religious life in a 17th-century farm culminating in the crisis of an extended family. The chapter explores how practices of lived religion shaped the relationship of the community and the individual, and how experiences were negotiated within families and local communities. The analysis highlights the importance of protecting the boundaries of the household as well as the meaning of religious practices in creating cohesion within the community.

Effect of pulse amplitude on depression and potentiation of ZrO2(Y)-based memristive synaptic device

The effect of the amplitude of depressing and potentiating pulses on the synaptic plasticity (potentiation and depression) of a memristive device based on the Ta/ZrO2(Y)/Pt stack has been experimentally studied. It is shown that the amplitude of depressing and potentiating pulses affects the synaptic plasticity, namely, the value of current passing through the memristive device. The presented results demonstrate the prospects of using the ZrO2(Y)-based memristive devices as stable and low-power elements of neuromorphic systems.
Anglikāņu Baznīcas Svētā Pestītāja draudzes Rīgā Zupas virtuves koncepcija

Šīs darbs ir pētījums par Anglikāņu Baznīcas Svētā Pestītāja draudzes Rīgā sociālu kalpošanu. Pētījumā izvirzītais mērķis – izpetīt anglikāņu draudzes zupas virtuves darbu un identificēt tas koncepciju. Darbā izmantotās metodes ir daļēji strukturētās intervijas un literatūras salidzīnoša analīze. Pētījuma gaitā apstiprināta darbā izvirzīta tēze - ka anglikāņu draudzes zupas virtuves viesiem līdzās materiālām vajadzībām svarīgi piepildīt arī viņu eksistenciālās vajadzības un nepieciešamību pēc atbalstošas kopienas. Šāds pētījums vēl nav līdz šim veikts.
