Body mass index and impact on semen quality of men attending an infertility clinic

Background: The reproductive consequences of lifestyle factors in men are still controversial. In this prospective study, we verified the impact of body mass index alterations on semen parameters of patients who attended an infertility clinic. Materials and Methods: Semen samples from 156 subjects aged 22 to 53 years were analyzed. Smokers were categorized as mild (≤ 10 cigarettes/day), moderate (10-20 cigarettes/day”) and heavy smokers (> 20 cigarettes/day”). Although the possibilities for the treatment of infertility have been improved tremendously, not every couple will be treated successfully.Crude overall pregnancy rates of 50-65% per patient can be achieved nowadays, irrespective of the type of profertility treatment applied first.IVF only accounts for about 20% of the pregnancies achieved. AMP dezamināze ir glikoproteīns, kam piemīt imūnmodulējošas īpašības, tādēļ darba mērķis bija izstrādāt efektīvu un ātru AMPD attīrīšanas metodi no Penicillium lanoso–viride 8D, ar kuras palīdzību būtu iespējams iegūt proteīna preparātu ar pietiekami augstu AMPD aktivitāti. Šajā darbā tiek apskatītas ūdens – gāzes plūsmas modeļeksperimenti. Pēc divfāzu plūsmu un dažādu vielu plūsmu līdzību iepazīšanas, tiek veikta ūdens modeļeksperimentu izveide. Dažādu eksperimentu izveide ļauj iegūt kvantitatīvus datus un parametrus par plūsmu īpašībām. Dati tiek apstrādāti un iegūti plūsmas raksturīgie lielumi un bezdimensionāli skaitļi. Šīs vērtības tiek salīdzinātas ar industrijā pielietotiem risinājumiem un pielietojumiem divfāzu plūsmām.
