Cheap sensor made of multicrystalline silicon for insolation and temperature measurements

In the paper some results on measurement of insolation and „real” cell’s temperature carried out with use of standard silicon solar cells are presented. Two identical cells are applied in such a sensor. Short circuit current of one cell is a direct indication of insolation value and open circuit voltage of the other cell is indirect indication of actual sensor’s temperature but in this case more complex formula must be used for temperature calculation.

Ultrafast Coherent THz Lattice Dynamics Coupled to Spins in the van der Waals Antiferromagnet FePS3

Coherent THz optical lattice and hybridized phonon–magnon modes are triggered by femtosecond laser pulses in the antiferromagnetic van der Waals semiconductor FePS3. The laser-driven lattice and spin dynamics are investigated in a bulk crystal as well as in a 380 nm-thick exfoliated flake as a function of the excitation photon energy, sample temperature and applied magnetic field. The pump-probe magneto-optical measurements reveal that the amplitude of a coherent phonon mode oscillating at 3.2 THz decreases as the sample is heated up to the Néel temperature. Aims: To assess and compare the optical quality of the myopic and hyperopic implantable collamer lens (ICL) from its wavefront aberrations for different powers and pupil diameters. Settings and Design: Prospective study. Material and Methods: The wavefront aberrations of two myopic (−3 and −6 diopters (D)) and two hyperopic V4b ICLs (+3 and +6D) were measured in vitro . Il ruolo della corteccia prefrontale dorsolaterale (DLPFC) in compiti di memoria è stato largamente documentato. Una questione ancora molto dibattuta è il grado di lateralizzazione anatomica-funzionale dei processi di controllo esecutivo della DLPFC coinvolti nella memoria di riconoscimento. Il lavoro di tesi indaga le connessioni tra DLPFC e ippocampo mediante l’applicazione di tecniche di neuromodulazione dell’eccitabilità della DLPFC che consentano di accrescere l’attività ippocampale durante compiti di memoria di riconoscimento. UV Metal Semiconductor Metal Detectors. A Robust Choice for (Al,Ga)N Based Detectors

UV detection is interesting for combustion optimization, air contamination control, fire and solar blind rocket launching detection. Most of these applications require that UV detectors have a huge dynamic response between UV and the visible, and a very low dark current in the range of the UV flux measured. (Al,Ga)N alloys present a large direct bandgap in this range and therefore can be used as an active region in such detectors. To take advantage of the large Schottky barrier, the good alloy quality, and to avoid any doping problems, we have developed MSM photodetectors.
