La serie de los Cinco Sentidos de Maerten de Vos y Adriaen Collaert como fuente iconográfica

Durante el siglo XVI, Maerten de Vos y Adriaen Collaert realizaron una compleja serie de representaciones alegóricas de los Cinco Sentidos. El presente artículo pone de manifiesto la utilización de esta serie como fuente iconográfica por parte de artistas barrocos y analiza la rica tradición simbólica de los elementos que la componen, en la que se unen los conocimientos de la Antigüedad clásica, con las referencias medievales y los conceptos propios del humanismo renacentista.

La utilización del grabado por los artistas es usual en la Historia del Arte, pero resulta más evidente en la pintura. Los pintores utilizaron las estampas para copiarlas literalmente ante la ausencia de imaginación o crear nuevas composiciones. Este artículo pretende soslayar el uso más literal para estudiar el grabado, sobre todo el de reproducción, y la estampa devocionaria como un documento histórico para identificar la autoría de ciertas obras consideradas como anónimas en el Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia, e incluso algunas iconografías. Esto sucede con obras de José Orient, Vicente López y José Antonio Zapata y Nadal. (A)

AbstractIn this study, yeast, Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria were attached to silicon dioxide microparticles or silica in order to measure their absorbance, also known as physical absorption of light, changes using spectrophotometry. The goal of the study was to determine if spectrophotometry is an effective way to distinguish microorganisms and if microorganisms have an affinity for silicon dioxide since it is a suitable material for the production of prostheses. Virtual space environment may be improved by combining it with graphical and visual tools. This paper analyses an integrated system able to merge fusion techniques, icons tools and a virtual space environment. A virtual space is characterised by a set of dynamic visual icons and by a heterogeneous virtual reality environment. El uso de sustancias para el aumento de tejidos blandos por motivos estéticos puede ocasionar la aparición de granulomas a cuerpo extraño, entre otros efectos indeseables. Las mejoras introducidas en dichas sustancias han conseguido la disminución de la incidencia de reacciones adversas pero no su desaparición. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to quantify the effect of glass ionomer and adhesive cements on SP expression in healthy human dental pulp. Study Design: Forty pulp samples were obtained from healthy premolars where extraction was indicated for orthodontic reasons. In thirty of these premolars a Class V cavity preparation was performed and teeth were equally divided in three groups: Experimental Group I: Glass Ionomer cement was placed in the cavity. Experimental Group II: Adhesive Cement was placed in the cavity. Positive control group: Class V cavities only. International audience; Synchrotron based photoemission spectroscopy was used to study the adsorption of tungsten hexacarbonyl on SiO2 surfaces modified by potassium. Results were compared with the ones obtained when no potassium was present. Experiments using W4f and Si2p intensities variations show that, at 140 K, the tungsten hexacarbonyl growth proceeds via a simultaneous multilayer mode for the two kinds of surfaces but with differences in compositions of growing layers.
