El presente trabajo aborda, en primer lugar, la mirada sobre los ataques iconoclastas desde la perspectiva del primer franquismo y la construcción del discurso de regeneración nacional por medio de la idea del advenimiento de un nuevo tiempo cristiano. A continuación, se estudia la restitución al culto de las imágenes sagradas, seguido de un estudio del caso valenciano centrado principalmente en los ejemplos de la Virgen de los Desamparados y el Cristo del Grao como representantes de la activación de geografías devocionales. Epifaniusz, biskup Salaminy na Cyprze w latach 376–403, należał do znaczących postaci w IV w. W działalności publicznej cechowała go radykalna postawa wobec prawd wiary, co bezpośrednio przekładało się na treść jego pism. Obok krytyki wszelkich przejawów heretyckiego myślenia zwalczał ponadto szerzący się wówczas kult obrazów. Taka opinia o nim stała się bardzo głośna dopiero w XX w., gdyż przed 100 laty, czyli w 1916 r., Karl Holl opublikował dosyć obszerne studium, w którym prezentuje tekst trzech utworów Epifaniusza potępiających oddawanie czci obrazom. Among the dits of Guillaume de Machaut consecrated to animal figures, the Dit dou lyon deserves a new ecdotic and critical study. It is a narrative work dating back to 1342, consisting of more than two thousand octosyllabes and transmitted by eleven manuscripts (14th-15th centuries), which contain Machaut’s works and almost all accompanied by a rich iconographic apparatus. Indeed, the two manuscripts that do not keep miniatures are however prepared to receive them, as proof of the importance of the iconographic element in the process of making manuscripts containing the works of Guillaume de Machaut, then to their reception and “monumentalization”. We re-investigate the image charge model of Iori and Corni (Iori and Corni, J. Comput. Chem. 2008, 29, 1656). We find that a simple symmetrization of their model allows to obtain quantitatively correct results for the electrostatic interaction of a water molecule with a metallic surface. This symmetrization reduces the magnitude of the electrostatic interaction to less than 10% of the total interaction energy. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Restoration of digital visual media acquired from repositories of historical photographic and cinematographic material is of key importance for the preservation, study and transmission of the legacy of past cultures to the coming generations. In this paper, a fully automatic approach to the digital restoration of historical stereo photographs is proposed, referred to as Stacked Median Restoration plus (SMR+). The approach exploits the content redundancy in stereo pairs for detecting and fixing scratches, dust, dirt spots and many other defects in the original images, as well as improving contrast and illumination.
