Ci sono forme di capitale sociale che promuovono lo sviluppo e altre che lo inibiscono. Durante il Medioevo, maghrebini e genovesi si contendevano il primato commerciale nell'area del Mediterraneo. A soccombere furono i maghrebini che godevano di una dotazione di capitale sociale comunitario, e cioè di affidabilità interna, maggiore dei genovesi. Proprio per questo non sentirono l'esigenza di sviluppare sistemi per rendere sicure le transazioni commerciali fra estranei.

This article defines, from a theoretical perspective, the scientific arbitration report as discursive genre, located in a chain of genres with two recipients, the purpose being to contextualize why a mitigating courtesy strategy is activated. The objective of the research is twofold: firstly, it attempts to determine which are the specific resources to formulate linguistically the above mentioned strategy in a corpus of arbitration reports; secondly, it aims to unveil whether the sex of the reports’ evaluators is a parameter that influences the impersonality strategy in order to minimize the presence of the subject of the statement. Esta tesis trata de determinar la manera en que se configuran las actividades de imagen, la atenuación y la impersonalidad en el discurso de los profesionales del derecho (jueces y abogados) durante el transcurso de los juicios orales. Para la elaboración de este trabajo, partimos de un corpus de ocho juicios orales (dos por cada jurisdicción presente en el ordenamiento jurídico español) que ha sido transcrito siguiendo el sistema de transcripción del grupo Val.Es.Co. The Author analyses what Latin grammarians wrote about impersonal verbs. The Latin language does not have impersonal verbs stricto sensu, with a morphology different from the one of personal verbs. According to Latin grammarians, a verb is impersonal if it occurs in the third person of the singular and it needs a pronoun in order to express the person; consequently, impersonal verbs are of the type amatur and curritur and of the type pudet, decet, contingit. Utilizing non-participatory observation data this study focuses on the social dynamics of men’s anonymous sexual encounters with other men in a cinema showing sexually explicit movies. Focus is on how patrons interact both verbally and non-verbally when negotiating sexual activities.
