Water and Energy Saving in Urban Water Systems: The ALADIN Project

The ALADIN project was aimed at contributing to environmental and energy sustainability of the urban water system by means of a decision support tool able to allow an evaluation of the energy impact related to each different macro-sectors of urban water cycle highlighting the main energy flows and to assess the system energy balance and identify the possible energy-efficient solutions. Moreover the tool suggests the most efficient actions in reducing water losses. In the present paper the main features of the developed tool are presented. (C) 2016 The Authors. Relationship between family educational styles and social value of education: reflections of a study

The goal of this study is to analyze the relationship between the social value that the families give to education of their sons and daughters, and the family educational styles. For this, we apply 4103 questionnaires of evaluation of Family Educational Styles (EEF) of Bisquert (2017). We used 5 context variables of the same questionnaire because of their conceptual relationship with the evaluation dimensions of Subjective Social Value of Education (VSESubjective) of Jornet, Perales and Sánchez Delgado (2011). Audit Measurement of Crisis Communication Preparedness across Different Branches of Government : Sharing Experiences Gained in Finland

An audit measurement of crisis communication preparedness was conducted for 67 organizations, mainly on the national level, in Finland. This unique project was one of the ways to implement new crisis communication regulations getting into force a year earlier. Its purpose was to strengthen central government communication in incidents and emergencies. The audit consisted of a digital survey in the participating organizations and a reflection meeting on the level of each of the 14 branches involved.
