Una tomba di bambini dalla necropoli orientale di Polizzello

The last excavation (2004-2006) in the eastern necropolis of Polizzello (CL) allowed to complete the excavation of this important funerary area and to discover a grave (No 2/2004) containing over 100 dead children. It represents a privileged observatory for the study of childhood in the indigenous world of Sicily. The structure of the tomb, the relative and absolute chronology, the composition of the kit with its symbolic value and the mode of deposition of the buried are analyzed, thanks to the data of the stratigraphic excavation. Infantilas rīšanas paradumi un citas orofaciālā kompleksa atradnes pirmsskolas vecuma bērniem Latvijā

Ievads: Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt saikni starp infantilas rīšanas paradumiem ar citām orofaciālā kompleksa atradnēm pirmsskolas vecuma bērniem Latvijā. Paralēli tam mēs pētījām arī oklūziju. Metodes: Šajā šķērsgriezuma pētījumā piedalījās 141 pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu no 4 līdz 7 gadiem un viņu mātes. Orofaciālā kompleksa izmeklēšanu veica divi ortodonti, kurā tika novērtēta orofaciālā kompleksa miofunkcionālā situācija, oklūzija un bērnu runas defekti. Mātēm tika sniegtas anketas, lai iegūtu informāciju par bērnu veselības stāvokli un citiem identifikācijas datiem. Background: Transanal irrigation (TAI) is employed for children with fecal incontinence, but it can present several problems which require a study of their outcomes among different pathologies and without a tailored work up. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an advanced protocol in order to tailor TAI, prevent complications, and evaluate outcomes. This article and the four videos linked to this article are a result of the earliest experiences in establishing an international research collaboration among seven countries in the Project Social and emotional experiences in transition through the early years. The transition from home care to early childhood education and care (ECEC) is a period of intense change and development in young children's socio-spatial worlds. This article focuses on infant–teacher lap interactions during this transition period. This investigation applies a relational approach to the study of infant–teacher lap interactions. In doing so, it highlights the inherently social and contextual nature of interaction.
