La literatura contable revela resultados contradictorios al evaluar el efecto que los diferentes usos de los sistemas de control de gestión (SCG) tienen en la innovación. Siguiendo el marco teórico establecido por Simons (1995), este trabajo prueba el efecto que la internacionalización, bien sea directo, mediador o moderador, tiene en la relación entre el uso interactivo de los SCG y el compromiso de las empresas con la innovación. Gaining or losing PhDs: What are the effects on firms' linkages with universities?

PhD graduates can help companies transfer knowledge from universities to firms. Scholars have analysed the determinants of PhD recruitment by firms and its effects on their innovation activities. However, little is known about what happens when a firm loses employees with PhDs. The aim of this paper is to compare the effects on the relationships of firms with universities when these firms lose PhDs versus when they hire PhDs to work in R&D. Introducción: El profesor universitario debe transmitir las habilidades técnicas y cognitivas sobre reanimación cardiopulmonar (RCP) en Pediatría con el método más efectivo. Metodología: 17 clases prácticas de Resucitación Cardiopulmonar de 2 horas para 225 alumnos. Se impartió el 2º curso de Enfermería Pediátrica de la Universidad de Valencia. Cada clase consistió en 3 casos clínicos en los que participaron 15 estudiantes y 3 monitores. El conocimiento de los estudiantes se evaluó con prueba-repetición de 11 preguntas y la satisfacción después de la simulación (cuestionario de 20 preguntas). [EN] Introduction: Nowadays, clinical simulation could be a key link in the teaching and learning of different procedures. Methodology: It is a quasi-experimental study, using three evaluation questionnaires as a method to collect the respective information to the acquisition of competences and satisfaction of the students regarding a theoretical-practical training on pediatric and neonatal CPR for students of 2nd year Nursing the University of Valencia. Silicates doped with catalytic species have only been slowly adopted by the fine chemicals and pharmaceutical industries, in spite of their remarkable and unique properties such as pronounced physical and chemical stability; high (enantio)selective activity and ease of materials production and application. This is now changing thanks to stricter safety regulations and to concomitant success of the first commercial catalysts. In this account we tell the story of these materials and identify some deficiencies in the innovation process that may serve as lesson in guiding the future management of innovation in these relevant industries.
