Objectives: Exploring the modulatory effects of different frequencies of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on the excitability of the motor cortex as measured by the input-output curve technique (I-O curve). Methods: Sixteen healthy subjects participated in this experiment. On two different sessions, conducted 1 week apart, rTMS was applied either at a frequency of 20 or 1Hz at 90% of individual motor threshold (MT) for a total of 1600 pulses each. Two great alternative hypothesis are possible in the analysis input-output : the model may be demand-driven (Leontief) or supply-driven (Ghosh). To test the consistency of these hypotheses on the long term, this paper studies the interest of proportional filters (comparison of column or row coefficients) and the interest of the biproportional filter for the temporalcomparison of input-output matrices. Testing the long term consistency of these mechanisms entails comparing input-output matrices over time. This article proposes a new input-output feedback linearization control (FLC) technique of linear induction motors (LIMs), taking into consideration both the dynamic end-effects and the iron losses. Starting from a previously conceived dynamic model, including the dynamic end-effects and the iron losses, all the theoretical framework of the FLC has been developed. Sufficient conditions are presented for the existence of IO-FTS for such systems under the cases of certain switching, arbitrary switching, and uncertain switching. All the obtained results are formulated in a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
