El propósito de esta investigación fue tratar de descubrir las ventajas e inconvenientes de dos aproximaciones didácticas en la iniciación al violín de alumnos de 4 y 5 años. Una de las secuencias didácticas se basó en el uso combinado de ambas manos (AM) desde el inicio de la acción didáctica. La otra se basó exclusivamente en la práctica de la mano derecha (MD), dejando las acciones de la mano izquierda para un tiempo después. También se investigó si tuvieron influencia en la motivación de los alumnos y si la presencia de familiares en el aula influyó en los resultados. Every part of the human body is subject to aging, including the eye. Increased prevalence of dry eye disease with age is widely acknowledged: aging threatens ocular surface homeostasis, altering the normal functioning of the lacrimal functional unit and potentially leading to signs and symptoms of dry eye. Parallelly, two additional degenerative processes take place within the crystalline lens, leading to presbyopia and cataractogenesis. With continuously increasing life expectancies both conditions are expected to impact society further. Trigger and aperture of the surface detector array of the Pierre Auger Observatory

The surface detector array of the Pierre Auger Observatory consists of 1600 water-Cherenkov detectors, for the study of extensive airshowers (EAS) generated by ultra-high-energy cosmic rays. We describe the trigger hierarchy, from the identification of candidates howers at the level of a single detector, amongst a large background (mainly random single cosmic ray muons), up to the selection of real events and the rejection of random coincidences. The Upgrade of the ATLAS Level-1 Central Trigger Processor

The ATLAS Level-1 Central Trigger Processor (CTP) combines information from calorimeter and muon trigger processors as well as other sources and makes the final Level-1 Accept (L1A) decision. Due to the increasing luminosity of the LHC and the growing demands of physics and monitoring placed on the ATLAS Level-1 trigger system, the current CTP has reached its design limits. Therefore and in order to provide some margin for future operation, the CTP will be upgraded during the LHC shutdown of 2013/14.
