This work presents the development of a protocol based on the dynamic laser speckle designed tomonitor the reaction of cancer cells of line MEL-RC08 to the application of the drug Colcemid in two differentconcentrations: 0.2 and 0.4 μg∕mL. The protocol was designed using the forward scattering approach with anHe-Ne laser of 632.8 nm illuminating the samples, a control, and two variations of Colcemid, being monitoredalong 8 h. Abstract A thermal study of a new series of acetazolamidate complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) using the TG, DTG and DTA techniques in flowing air, static air and N 2 atmospheres is described. From the TG-DTG and DTA curves, different thermal behaviours can be observed. Although in all the complexes the processes of dehydration, deammination and pyrolysis can be clearly observed, in some cases they appear as several well-separated steps and, in others, as continuous stages which take place simultaneously. Thermodynamic approach of supercontinuum generation

International audience; This paper is aimed at providing an overview on recent theoretical and experimental works in which a thermodynamic description of the incoherent regime of supercontinuum generation has been formulated. On the basis of the wave turbulence theory, we show that this highly nonlinear and quasi-continuous-wave regime of supercontinuum generation is characterized by two different phenomena. "Ab initio" structure solution from electron diffraction data obtained by a combination of automated diffraction tomography and precession technique

Using a combination of our recently developed automated diffraction tomography (ADT) module with precession electron technique (PED), quasi-kinematical 3D diffraction data sets of an inorganic salt (BaSO(4)) were collected. The lattice cell parameters and their orientation within the data sets were found automatically. The extracted intensities were used for "ab initio" structure analysis by direct methods. The data set covered almost the complete set of possible symmetrically equivalent reflections for an orthorhombic structure. Two asymptotic constant ratio methods applied to the quantification of individual components of solid samples using attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) are described. The methods involve the measurement of the peak current/peak areas of selected signals (diffraction peaks in XRD and absorption bands in ATR-FTIR) relative to the signal of standard added in constant proportion to the sample and the sample enriched with the analyte following the usual standard additions methodology. Abstract Single crystal neutron diffraction studies in (KBr)1-x(KCN)x are summarized. Mixed crystals with CN− concentrations x > 0.6 exhibit ferroelastic phase transitions from a high-temperature plastic phase into a low-temperature elastically ordered phase in which the CN− orientations show long range orientational order and the center of mass lattice exhibits shear distortions. For concentrations x ≤ 0.6 orientational disorder is frozen-in and transitions into an orientational glass state occur. Close to the critical concentration xc ∼ 0.6 the diffraction profiles at the transition temperatures are dominated by diffuse-scattering contributions. These results are compared to model calcula…
