Trends in column integrated water vapour over Europe from 1973 to 2003

The spatial and temporal variations of atmospheric precipitable water (PW) content anomalies were analysed over Europe from 1973 to 2003 using daily data (0000 and 1200 UTC) from National Center of Environmental Prediction and National Center of Atmospheric Research Reanalysis project (NCEP-1) and in situ radiosonde data. Mann–Kendall trend tests were applied to long-term PW time series. Technology changes influence PW radiosonde trends, although these are in agreement with NCEP-1 trends. Corrosion Resistance of Alloys in IGCC Environment

IGCC recovery boiler materials are subject to severe corrosion in environments composed of a gas mixture (CO-H 2 -H 2 O-CO 2 -H 2 S) and vanadium-containing fly-ash resulting from the combustion of oil residues. This paper presents a study of the corrosion behaviour of two Fe-Ni-Cr austenitic alloys in a typical IGCC environment at 400°C. The alloy composition influences the vanadium incorporated in the corrosion scales during the test, which affects the scale growth process. The valence state (determined by micro-XANES) and the amount of the incorporated vanadium is modified by a subsequent air flow at 400°C.

PURPOSE: One of the proven effects of Ozone Therapy, is the releasing of Growth Factors from Platelets. Some other therapies can have similar effects. Autologous Therapies can be defined as “The therapy that is done by transferring cells, tissues, body liquids originating from the recipient rather than from donor.” The purpose of this presentation is to give information on those therapies.

Major International Information Flows Across the Safex Wheat Market

We study information flows across four wheat futures markets on four continents: Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE), South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX), Euronext/Liffe and Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT). Three approaches for studying information flows among non-synchronous markets are applied: cointegration techniques, vector autoregressive analysis and multiple regression proposed. Although comparable underlying assets are traded in the four markets, our results indicate that no long-run links exist among them. ZCE is by far the most endogenous market, and Euronext/Liffe is the most exogenous one. Finally, the model points to KCBT as the most influential and sensitive wheat market. …
