CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) has been claimed to create a positive attitude towards languages and language learning in general and to raise intercultural awareness. The studies on the topics have however remained scarce. This study examines the issue from former pupils’ perspective. The 24 participants, who received English-medium CLIL during their comprehensive school in the 1990s, were interviewed in-depth and the data were analysed qualitatively. Most participants felt that CLIL had had a very positive effect on their attitudes towards English. Diplomdarba tēma “Stundu plānu modelēšana mājturības un angļu valodas integrētai mācīšanai 9.klasē”, jo ar mācīšanos tiek saprasta ne tikai mācību priekšmeta apguve. Jāveicina mācīšanās kopveselumā. 21.gadsimta izglītības sistēmai tiek radīti jauni izaicinājumi. CLIL pieeja veicinātu mācību priekšmetu integrēšanu un skolotāju sadarbību. Metodes: tika izanalizēti avoti par satura un valodas integrētu mācīšanu un stundu plānošanu; tika aptaujāti 9.klases skolēni; tika savākti dati – atgriezeniskā saite par stundās apgūto; tika intervētas divas skolotājas, kuras praksē pielieto CLIL; tika veikta stundu plānu analīze, pēc SIOP modeļa kritērijiem. Fixed Point Theorems in Partially Ordered Metric Spaces and Existence Results for Integral Equations

We derive some new coincidence and common fixed point theorems for self-mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition in partially ordered metric spaces. As applications of the presented theorems, we obtain fixed point results for generalized contraction of integral type and we prove an existence theorem for solutions of a system of integral equations.

The present paper shows the benefits coming from the operation of the recent electrical high voltage (HV) interconnections between Sicily, Malta and mainland Italy. These new interconnections allow zonal prices of electricity considerably lower than in the past, ensuring greater flexibility to the system and a better integration of Renewable Energy Sources (RES). Three viewpoints on the integral geometry of foliations

We deal with three different problems of the multidimensional integral geometry of foliations. First, we establish asymptotic formulas for integrals of powers of curvature of foliations obtained by intersecting a foliation by affine planes. Then we prove an integral formula for surfaces of contact of an affine hyperplane with a foliation. Finally, we obtain a conformally invariant integral-geometric formula for a foliation in three-dimensional space.
