Recently, two forms of virtue-related humor, benevolent and corrective, have been introduced. Benevolent humor treats human weaknesses and wrongdoings benevolently, while corrective humor aims at correcting and bettering them. Twelve marker items for benevolent and corrective humor (the BenCor) were developed, and it was demonstrated that they fill the gap between humor as temperament and virtue. The present study investigates responses to the BenCor from 25 samples in 22 countries (overall N = 7,226). International audience; We consider simple random walks on random graphs embedded in R-d and generated by point processes such as Delaunay triangulations, Gabriel graphs and the creek-crossing graphs. Under suitable assumptions on the point process, we show an annealed invariance principle for these random walks. We introduce a new scale-invariant pattern-recognition method that uses nonlinear correlation. We applied several common linear correlations to images decomposed into disjoint binary images, which is very discriminant even when the target is embedded in strong noise. We combine our sliced orthogonal nonlinear generalized correlation method and the radial-harmonic expansion in order to achieve scale-invariant pattern recognition. The information from a radial harmonic for each binary slice of the reference object is combined with binary slices of the target. We introduce a new rotation invariant pattern recognition method based on nonlinear correlation. The images are decomposed into disjoint binary slices and then correlated using the common linear correlation. This operation is very discriminant even when the target is embedded in strong noise. Orientation-Dependent Handedness of Chiral Plasmons on Nanosphere Dimers: How to Turn a Right Hand into a Left Hand

Optical activity, which is used as a discriminator of chiral enantiomers, is demonstrated to be orientation dependent on individual, and nominally achiral, plasmonic nanosphere dimers. Through measurements of their giant Raman optical activity, we demonstrate that L/R-handed enantiomers can be continuously turned into their R/L-handed mirror images without passing through an achiral state. The primitive uniaxial multipolar response, with demonstrable broken parity and time reversal symmetry, reproduces the observations as resonant Raman scattering on plasmons that carry angular momentum. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario para la Evaluación del Síndrome de Quemarse por el Trabajo (CESQT) en una muestra de profesionales de la salud italianos. La muestra estuvo formada por 695 participantes (453 profesionales de enfermería y 242 médicos). Según el género se identificaron 451 mujeres (64.9%) y 244 hombres (35.1%). There is increasing interest in the study of flourishing as an indicator of subjective wellbeing. The objective herein was to adapt and study the psychometric properties of Diener’s Flourishing Scale (FS) among the Colombian population. Accordingly, a cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probability sample of 1255 Colombian adults. The scale’s structure, invariance by gender, and convergent and concurrent validity were studied from a confirmatory perspective using structural equation models.
