Parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) is critical for normal mammary development and is overexpressed by breast cancers. PTHrP is a peptide hormone that undergoes extensive post-translational processing, and PTHrP(38–94)-amide is one of the mature secretory forms of the peptide. In this study, we explored the effect of PTHrP(38–94)-amide in a panel of six breast cancer cell lines “in vitro” and in MDA-MB231 cells “in vivo” specifically examining cell viability, proliferation, invasiveness, and growth in nude mice. Meningiomas of the Space of the Cavernous Sinus

During the years 1985 to 1992, we encountered 59 patients with meningiomas involving the space of the cavernous sinus. In 29 of these patients, meningiomas were primarily located within the space of the cavernous sinus and were operated on without mortality and with low morbidity. A small subtemporal surgical approach was favored, which allowed initial tumor resection from the posterior aspect, where the Parkinson's triangle is wide, thus avoiding the additional morbidity of large-scale approaches. ShRNA-mediated knock-down of CXCL8 inhibits tumor growth in colorectal liver metastasis.

CXCL8 belongs to proinflammatory chemokines that are predominantly involved in neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. Several studies have suggested that secretion of CXCL8 from cancer cells have a profound effect on tumor microenvironment.
