peer-reviewed The Community Wellness, Empowerment, Leadership and Lifeskills (CWell) program is a two-year community-driven program developed in partnership between an underserved-community in Limerick City, and staff at the University of Limerick (UL), Ireland. This paper explores the transformative teaching and learning experiences that arose throughout the duration of the progam for the lecturers and students. Data were collected through interviews and focus groups with lecturers and students involved in the program. This paper focuses on a community–university partnership built around a programme of study co-created by residents of a disadvantaged community and situated, for the most part, within that community. The aim of this paper is to share lessons learned from this community engagement initiative, as identified through a research study which ran concurrent to the programme. The study involved 41 interviews (18 individual interviews and 23 focus groups) over a two-year period with 28 participants. Pro gradu -tutkielma käsittelee kiistanalaisten poliittisten käsitteiden käyttöä Irlannin ja Iso-Britannian parlamenttiunionista käydyssä julkisessa keskustelussa 1798 – 1800. Keskustelu autonomisen Irlannin ja Iso-Britannian kuningaskuntien yhdistymisestä alkoi Irlantia kesällä 1798 ravisuttaneen kapinan seurauksena. Parlamenttiunionista käydyn sanasodan aikana poliittiset keskustelijat perustelivat omia kantojaan usein vetoamalla poliittisiin periaatteisiin.
