ResumenEn el presente artículo, se estudian los modelos más representativos de organización política de la comunidad islámica o Umma en la historia del pensamiento islámico. Como introducción al tema, se analiza el papel central que ocupa el concepto de Umma como eje vertebrador de las relaciones entre religión y política en el Islam. Posteriormente, se exponen las principales posiciones acerca del gobierno de la Umma, desde los tiempos del Profeta hasta la actualidad. Based on the religions represented in the children's group, Norwegian kindergartens are required to have activities related to religious festivals. The requirement is aiming both on mutual interest, respect and tolerance between the children and on the recognition of the life world of the children affiliated with the religion in point. The study demonstrates that recognition of the Muslim festival Id al-fitr takes place in a very limited part of the kindergartens, and that the cooperation with parents is qualitatively different between majority and minority religions. Adopting a child is not a legal concept recognized in Islamic law, which, while giving great importance to orphans and children’s rights, has introduced the legal institution of the Kafala. This institution can be defined as a commitment by the kafil to ensure maintenance, education and protection of a minor makfoul until his legal majority, in the same way as would a father to his son, but without creating any family relationship. For these reasons the Kafala cannot be compared to an international adoption, which, contrariwise, entails the creation of a parent-child relationship. Attraverso lo studio epigrafico di alcune monete e l’analisi e la rilettura di un testo dello storico Ibn ʼIdhari (XIII-XIV sec.) l’autrice ricostruisce il quadro politico e finanziario che indussero l’Emiro Ibrāhīm II a introdurre, attraverso una riforma monetaria, il decimo di dirham. Il saggio getta quindi nuova luce sul progressivo frazionamento della moneta argentea e sulla successiva comparsa della “ḫarrūba” siciliana di epoca fatimita.
