Darba mērķis ir sniegt pārskatu par Latvijas velosipēdu ražošanas plānoto un reālo attīstību laika posmā no 1940. gada jūnija, kad valsti okupēja Padomju Savienības spēki un nodibināja padomju varu, līdz 1941. gada jūnijam, kad sākās Vācijas un PSRS karš. Darbā arī tiek apskatīti sovjetizācijas procesi Latvijā pēc tās okupācijas. Tas tika darīts, lai sniegtu ieskatu pārmaiņās, kas norisinājās valsts pārvaldē un tautsaimniecības vadībā apskatītajā laika posmā, īpaši pievēršoties pārmaiņām velosipēdu rūpniecībā. Jet fragmentation transverse momentum distributions in pp and p-Pb collisions at √s, √sNN = 5.02 TeV

Jet fragmentation transverse momentum (jT) distributions are measured in proton-proton (pp) and proton-lead (p-Pb) collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE experiment at the LHC. Jets are reconstructed with the ALICE tracking detectors and electromagnetic calorimeter using the anti-kT algorithm with resolution parameter R = 0.4 in the pseudorapidity range |η| < 0.25. The jT values are calculated for charged particles inside a fixed cone with a radius R = 0.4 around the reconstructed jet axis. The measured jT distributions are compared with a variety of parton-shower models. Herwig and Pythia 8 based models describe the data well for the higher jT region, while they underestimate the low…

Aerosolization Performance of Jet Nebulizers and Biopharmaceutical Aspects

In this work, 13 jet nebulizers, some of which in different configurations, were investigated in order to identify the biopharmaceutical constraints related to the quality attributes of the medicinal products, which affect their safety, efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness. The aerosolization parameters, including the aerosol output, aerosol output rate, mass median aerodynamic diameter, and fine particle fraction, were determined according to the European Standard EN 13544-1, using sodium fluoride as a reference formulation. Contaminants, nutrients and sediment particles flow into inland and coastal water bodies often forming turbulent jets. The aim of the present research is to improve our capability to describe how jets interact with the environment they discharge into, providing useful insights for possible mitigation of undesired and harmful impacts. Here, we focus on the case of a jet interacting with an obstructed flow under the effect of the Coriolis force as is often the case with large scale rivers discharging into the sea in vegetated environments.

Beliefs and attitudes of Australian learner drivers toward driving and avoiding driving through floodwater

Driving through floodwater is a significant cause of flood-related injury and mortality, and opportunities exist to embed safe driving messages regarding floodwaters to novice drivers in graduated driver licensing schemes. To inform future educational efforts, we investigated the beliefs and attitudes of Australian learner drivers about driving and avoiding driving through floodwaters. Methods: The study adopted a cross-sectional correlational design with measures drawn from the theory of planned behaviour and administered within an online survey.
