Two centuries later, the legend Chopin-Sand continues to supply the collective imaginary with vague readings, where historical truthfulness, let alone musical truth, is often contingent on the literary. The much discussed and bellicose romance between the Polish composer and the French novelist, George Sand, tends to some reductionism and evades an obvious reality: Fryderyk Chopin meets George Sand when she was already the mother of two children. This circumstance suggests reformulating certain romantic stereotypes. A través d’una comparació entre les proses mitològiques de Corella i les Transformacions de Francesc Alegre l’autora mostra que Alegre utilitza materials provinents de les Lamentacions i del Parlament en casa de Berenguer Mercader de Joan Roís de Corella per a la traducció catalana medieval de les Metamorfosis d’Ovidi, escrita entre 1472 i 1482, aproximadament. Així mateix, s’apunten indicis pel que fa a la influència del Raonament de Telamó i Ulisses a les Transformacions. Així, malgrat que Alegre parteix del poema llatí, completa la traducció amb la integració d’altres fonts que decideix no explicitar (Bonsignori, Corella). Publication and study of the “lletres de batalla” (written challenges to combat) exchanged by the Valencian nobles Don Pero Maça de Liçana and Joan Francesc de Pròixita. The affair ended in a combat, with the King of Navarre as judge, which took place at Pau (Bearn) on 5 February 1487. The dispute had a considerable impact on contemporaries and was picked up by historians and later writers.
