Abstract The paper approaches the ‘ideology’ of Romanian post-communist journalism as identified in local news media organisations. We focus on the practical philosophy of journalism, emphasizing elements such as autonomy, truth, objectivity; and the relationship of journalists and news organisations with political actors. Special attention is given to the interplay between this practical philosophy and the political and economic constraints influencing news media organisations in Romania. Nonetheless, these writings worth readers’ and critics’ attention because of their originality based on their hybrid character. Tässä tutkielmassa selvitämme, miten ravitsemukseen liittyvää kokemusasiantuntijuutta on kehystetty Helsingin Sanomissa, Ilta-Sanomissa ja Iltalehdessä vuosina 2013–2016. Kokemusasiantuntijaksi määrittelemme henkilön, jolla ei ole tiedeyhteisön konsensusta argumenttiensa tukena ja joka tekee bisnestä kiistanalaisilla väitteillään. Terveysjournalismilla on suuri vaikutus kansalaisten terveysvalintoihin, ja siksi on kyseenalaista päästää ääneen henkilöitä, jotka esittävät ilman totuuspohjaa olevia väitteitä. However, the skills of understanding, interpreting and using images as well as thinking and learning in terms of images are taken for granted, and thus, they are not sufficiently taught and developed, especially in higher education.
