L'étude de l'établissement de Gaillardon à Ménétru-le-Vignoble s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un programme de recherche pluridisciplinaire engagé sur les sites de hauteur de l'Antiquité tardive et du haut Moyen Âge dans le département du Jura. Créé ex nihilo vers le début du ve siècle, ce lieu semble avoir été occupé de manière permanente jusqu'au vie siècle. Les aménagements identifiés à l'intérieur de l'enceinte maçonnée, qui enserre une superficie de 1,5 ha, suggèrent une concentration d'activités artisanales diversifiées. International audience; The Jurassic Sahtan Group exposed in northern Oman was deposited in shallow marine environments at the edge of the Arabian Platform facing the Neo-Tethys (Hamrat Duru Basin). The upper Sahtan Group is made up of a mixed siliciclastic-carbonate unit overlain by pure carbonate deposits, assigned to a Bathonian and Early Callovian age on the basis of brachiopods and foraminifers. These carbonate depositional systems were composed of outer oolitic shoals that underwent subaerial exposure, and a deeper, somewhat restricted, gently dipping shelf interior. The reported data present the stratigraphy of several sections across a Middle–Late Jurassic Radiolaritic Unit, well exposed in different thrust sheets pertaining to the Maghrebian chain of Southwestern Sicily. The aim was to define the chronostratigraphical distribution of the Jurassic biosiliceous sedi- mentation in the Sicanian palaeogeographical zone, a deep water basin belonging to the Southern Tethys continental margin. Since its creation in 1817, the Lons-le-Saunier museum has been intended to house all the archaeological objects unearthed in the Jura department. Even if some collections are not included, the reserves contain most of the finds from the Jura. Protohistory plays an important role, with emblematic sites such as the Planches cave or the Chavéria necropolis. However, these collections have different legal statuses: collections listed in the museum's inventory (old collections and recent acquisitions) and collections kept in the museum but whose entry has not been regularised. 7 pages; International audience; A sandstone slab bearing plant macro-remains was rediscovered during recent investigations led in the buildings of the old Musée Ignon-Fabre (Mende) which were closed in 1995 and emptied in 2003. The study of the slab clearly allows it to be identified as the holotype of Weltrichia fabrei Saporta, 1891 which has been considered destroyed since the end of the 20th Century. Gaston de Saporta described this Bennettitalean fructification based on a cast and considered the type locality as Rhaetian in age.
