2016
This article focuses on the identity of the German expellees after World War II through the study of one of their publications, the Grafschafter Bote. For this population who is spread geographically all over Germany, the newspapers published by numerous associations have contributed to the creation and the maintaining of a collective identity able to sustain its position in the new German state. These newspapers still exist today and contribute to the strengthening of a particular identity.
2017
This text offers to analyse Juan José Campanella’s picture El secreto de sus ojos (2009) connecting it with its coherence or distance in respect to traditional codes of melodrama. The male and sometimes ironic focus on pathetic possibilities seems to present it as an inverted melodrama. The love story seems to be pushed into the background by the investigation of a criminal case in pre-dictatorial context, whereas in actual fact, the three levels of the synopsis intertwine to build the framework’s logic. Regarding the Hollywood remake of the picture will allow us to evaluate the relationship of each one with the national imaginative world, History and the concept of justice. Through this re…

2012
In "Justice during the Enlightenment and the Guillotine: a Philosophical Problem", Luigi Delia reconsiders the dispute over capital punishment in the France of the Ancien Regime, and especially Guillotin's proposed reform, linking the maintenance of the death penalty to the idea that the use of a mechanical device for its implementation works in favour of a more democratic, secular and humane penal system. Without attempting to establish a direct connection between the Enlightenment and the guillotine in an instrumental relationship of cause and effect, Luigi Delia raises the question of how the two phenomena are interrelated: in what way is the guillotine dependent on the legal culture of …
Automatic Timeline Construction and Analysis For Computer Forensics Purposes
2014
International audience; To determine the circumstances of an incident, investigators need to reconstruct events that occurred in the past. The large amount of data spread across the crime scene makes this task very tedious and complex. In particular, the analysis of the reconstructed timeline, due to the huge quantity of events that occurred on a digital system, is almost impossible and leads to cognitive overload. Therefore, it becomes more and more necessary to develop automatic tools to help or even replace investigators in some parts of the investigation. This paper introduces a multi-layered architecture designed to assist the investigative team in the extraction of information left in…

Quantizations from reproducing kernel spaces
2012
Abstract The purpose of this work is to explore the existence and properties of reproducing kernel Hilbert subspaces of L 2 ( C , d 2 z / π ) based on subsets of complex Hermite polynomials. The resulting coherent states (CS) form a family depending on a nonnegative parameter s . We examine some interesting issues, mainly related to CS quantization, like the existence of the usual harmonic oscillator spectrum despite the absence of canonical commutation rules. The question of mathematical and physical equivalences between the s -dependent quantizations is also considered.
