Study of the helium-cooled lithium lead test blanket module nuclear behaviour under irradiation in ITER

Abstract The present paper deals with the detailed investigation of the helium-cooled lithium lead test blanket module (HCLL-TBM) nuclear behaviour under irradiation in ITER, carried out at the Department of Nuclear Engineering of the University of Palermo adopting a numerical approach based on the Monte Carlo method. A realistic 3D heterogeneous model of the HCLL-TBM was set-up and inserted into an ITER 3D semi-heterogeneous model that realistically simulates the reactor lay-out up to the cryostat. Identity tensions in dual career : the discursive construction of future selves by female Finnish judo athletes

To date, few studies have explored how changes in the practices, policies, and politics of sport and education may be implicated in how young athletes think about and plan for the future. Drawing on cultural praxis and feminist poststructuralist frameworks, this paper explores whether and how dual career (DC) policies and practices in Finland guide female judo athletes’ imaginings about their future. Discourse analysis was used to analyse interviews with three adolescent (aged 16) and three young adult (aged 20, 23, and 27) elite female judo athletes. New data on the occurrence of 16 weevil species from the Kampinos National Park are presented, of which 7 species are recorded from the Mazovia Lowland for the first time. Among them two, Otiorhynchus repletus BOHEMAN and Larinus sturnus (SCHALLER) figure in the "Polish Red List".

Understanding brain operation demands linking basic behavioral traits to cell-type specific dynamics of different brain-wide subcircuits. This requires a system to classify the basic operational modes of neurons and circuits. Single-cell phenotyping of firing behavior during ongoing oscillations in vivo has provided a large body of evidence on entorhinal–hippocampal function, but data are dispersed and diverse. Here, we mined literature to search for information regarding the phase-timing dynamics of over 100 hippocampal/entorhinal neuron types defined in Hippocampome.org. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt Donalda Trampa 2015. gada priekšvēlēšanas kampaņas programmas saturu, atlasīt 5 galvenos programmas punktus un noskaidrot – vai tie tika izpildīti, vai nē, un tādā gadījumā, noskaidrot kādi bija iemesli neveiksmei. To describe important spiritual and philosophical issues Edith Stein used a symbol. The reason was her aesthetical sensitivity, but also, to some extent, her method of the phenomenological view. The definitions of the symbol used by the philosopher in the writings were introduced in the beginning. However, the main purpose of this article is the analysis of the symbolic stone. Recalling the context in the writings of Edith Stein and other texts that influenced her, one can find out that through these images she gets to the essence of all important aspects of the human being. Neutral-current atmospheric neutrino flux measurement using neutrino-proton elastic scattering in Super-Kamiokande

Recent results show that atmospheric $\nu_\mu$ oscillate with $\delta m^2 \simeq 3 \times 10^{-3}$ eV$^2$ and $\sin^2{2\theta_{atm}} \simeq 1$, and that conversion into $\nu_e$ is strongly disfavored. The Super-Kamiokande (SK) collaboration, using a combination of three techniques, reports that their data favor $\nu_\mu \to \nu_\tau$ over $\nu_\mu \to \nu_{sterile}$. This distinction is extremely important for both four-neutrino models and cosmology. We propose that neutrino-proton elastic scattering ($\nu + p \to \nu + p$) in water \v{C}erenkov detectors can also distinguish between active and sterile oscillations.
